That's why I wanted the handheld as I only use it on the trail. One time with it on the trail though def makes it worth its value of having one unless the group isn't very chatty.

yep... and that way my ENTIRE setup costs around $100 and it comes with everything needed if I want to expand to an external antenna in the future

I REALLY have found it to be useful.... Mostly because someone can spot me from their rig via the CB w/out having to get out

My antenna is mounted on the TC bed stiffener, and the radio is mounted in front of the cup holders.

Any update? There was a previous leak right?

I'm eagerly waiting to go back out after lunch to see if my cap has any leaks.

My test results are going to be a little tainted. I knew it was going to rain today, but I didn't think it was going to start until later in the morning. I had the sliding windows open because I was letting the cap air out as I drove around yesterday. I got home from the Nats game at midnight and thought "I should close those windows," then I thought "nah, I will do it in the morning before I drive to work, won't start raining until 8 or 9." WELL GUESS WHAT?! IT WAS RAINING AT 7 O'CLOCK IN THE F*CKING MORNING AND MY BED IS SOAKED AND NOW IT WONT DRY OUT FOR A FEW DAYS BECAUSE IT'S SUPPOSED TO RAIN ALL THROUGH SATURDAY.

So that's what I get for being lazy.

I wouldn't be caught dead on the beltway. I come in to work from 29 in Centreville straight through to Arlington Blvd and swoop into Crystal City. Plus I would HOPE that @Me. Projekt would recognize my sweet ride since he's seen it in person.

nah, I live in Ashburn for right now... we havent closed on the WV house yet (still waiting to see what they are willing to fix from the inspection) and I'm working in DC right now... but I'll be working in Reston starting pretty soon... and then it's a nice and easy drive from WV

yea... it's literally the worst part of my day.... haha
