Yeh wait until you come through Purcellville and Hamilton at 7/8 in the morning. Most of the time it's a total cluster.

But, Ryan is right, it will at least be an easier drive.

Considering it had "real" sliders and not steps, there is a chance they could be on here.

This is partly why I leave my pad for work at 515-530 everyday. If I wait till 7 to get to work, the world has already gone to shit.

That's what would scare me about steps is they don't have a horizontal bottom to them, but have indentions. Yours don't have those right? The other advantage by me coming in early, is I get to split early. I beat the rush both ways, sometimes it pays to be the oddball.

For what he got on his pad, I can understand his choice. But rotting here for 10-15 years might be shittier than you think in the long term.

I know... and that's a solid deal for sure... I just dont like living in such a crowded area like Ashburn

agreed.... We moved to Ashburn temporarily because I knew we would be looking to buy a house outside of the crowded city limits.... I couldnt handle all the people ALL the time. haha

Ah cool man, dude if I didn't know you were an inferno I would of thought you were radiant red or something. The shade can really mess with ya. Man your house looks the same as Davids, Ashburn must be big on uniformity.

yea man, Inferno can play tricks on the eye. haha

and eventually, I'm sure I'll do real sliders, but for $225 shipped to my door.... I'm not going to complain about the Tyger "Armor Steps"

and David's house is way nicer haha... but yes... Ashburn loves to build townhouses everywhere.... forget about a single family home for under 600k..... haha

Its all good man, Im hoping to bounce west next year if things work out right. But man to be honest, skids and sliders are worth their weight in gold for what I have driven on so far which isn't that much to be honest. Are there any deficiencies that your current sliders have that a real set doesn't? They have the profile of being pretty functional, but don't know if they have strong mounting points or anything.

Yeah, only reason I managed to buy my house out here was because I just got it when the market bottomed out, but at the same time I had loads of money from my previous job.

they mount (using good hardware) to 6 bolts per side where normal steps mount and not to the frame... but I can attest that I have "slid" on rocks when I had these same ones on my Jeep that also mounted in a similar location and havent had an issue... I've also put a hi lift on these steps to get me out of a jam and didnt have an issue... so they'll do for now... but they definitely wont provide the protection that a real slider will.

that's the time to do it for sure! Just curious, why change jobs though?

Sounds like they fit the bill, I guess is it just the impact strength itself of the tubing on the sliders is were they are delinquent? I have 8 mounting points for mine, but I think at six you are achieving the same thing if not really close.
