The 27F is larger size than the OEM correct? is the larger battery tray required to install it?

Yes and yes. The OEM tie down is tight, too.

Thank you for the quick response.. So the 24F is the OEM matching size, and fits perfectly correct?

24F is OEM size and fits fine.

I’m 99% sure the off road second gens have a 27F tray if that’s what you have.

Off Roads come with it. Others do not.

Yeah, it’s just a bigger plastic tray that replaces the one that fits a 24F.

I think you’re nuking the concept right now :)

This might be a dumb question, but I have a V6 Tacoma TRD PRO with a 24F battery. Will a 27F fit in the same spot?

Yes, but you’ll need a size 27F battery tray.

Disregard. Reading post above, I would need a new tray.

    More battery related questions:
    • To save money and run a dual battery setup, what are the thoughts on running a 35 series battery as your starting battery and a 31 as your reserve? Or flip it.
    • Final question: What makes the "M" marine batteries cost more then their non-marine equivalents when the specs look the same on them?
I apologize for all of the questions, but am extremely green when it comes to this area. Trying to learn as much as I can and get in on this deal at the same time without purchasing the wrong battery/batteries.
