Yeah I don't feel too bad for ya brother, given what and where you'll be fishing haha....so so jealous. Was just about to message you, then I remembered your out of town. For sure next time.

 

If I didn’t have 3 grad parties to attend to I definitely would go. What alpine lakes are road accessible? The only one I know of is on NF 7720 near Wilkeson/Carbonado.

 

If you guys ever make a run down to SW Washington so us Portlanders can join, LMK.

 

Worth bringing a pole to hood canal off a dock? Going to penrose point state park with the fam. I know there are flounders out there but not sure if I can cast far enough without a boat. I'll be bringing a crab pot for sure though.

 

Definitely worth it. I would fish at high tide. Use a hi-low rig with 1 oz pancake weight and a white curly tail plastic bait. A little Pro Cure gel scent on the curly tail helps alot. Reel it in slow and pop your rod up and down every 3-4 seconds. I get my limit of flounder 100% of the time, when I'm targeting them, with this setup.

 

I'll have to look into that rig. I haven't done salt water fishing since I was a kid and need to catch up...just been doing fresh water last few years. Thanks!

 

Anyone around Lake Stevens / Snohomish wanna help me find some bass? I’ve been playing around in my pontoon boat on a couple lakes in the area and not getting shit. Would be nice to get out there and catch some bass or anything other than trout at this point
