For what I sold my tacoma for, that much money is what's building my cruiser. Maybe a little more but not much

If you think about it, its an investment... values are only increasing on these. Last toyotas ever solid axle from the factory.

You do the PHH yet? Still gotta do mine, but no time before the move to get it done, just gonna bring some 5/8 heater hose, coolant, and new clamps with me and change it on the road if it decides to shit the bed (plz no :fingerscrossed:). I'll have all my tools with me anyway

Not really easy to even get a look without a mirror or removing a wheel and fender liner.

If you have four 40s and the cruiser is an 80 does that make it a 240?

Your 2nd quote is exactly why i made time before taking any wheelin/road trips. It was a pain in the dick to do in the garage, much less on the side of the road somewhere. Couple hours if you drink beer and wrench at the same time.

Man, I've had this internal debate for months now. Sell the Taco, get an 80. With the equity in the truck, I could dump it and pick up a decent Cruiser and be done with payments. Makes even more sense as I don't need a commuter vehicle, I work from home.

I couldn't make the jump until i had a dedicated daily driver seperate from the 80. Working from home, I would rationalize the 80 being my one and only plus my wife's car though.

DO IT. I have a daily driver so it was a no brainer for me. Solid axle from the factory, knowing the capability of it and everything else about it, and lastly having a good friend with one built to bounce everything off of to make sure im doing it right. I do miss my taco but Im so glad I did the change. Values of 80's are only going up too.

Very clean. Only thing I had to "modify" was the holes for the fairlead as the ones in the bumper were a hair too high, so just drilled them out a little and it was perfect.
