What coils did you have temporarily in the front before it went off to the shop?

Not sure on valving specs.. I can look them up though.
Going to have a pad welded on the axle so I don't have to change the air bump, but then the rear will be cut and extended down and rewelded.

    Well good news/bad news:
Marlin Crawler gears are in the transfer case! -Good (obviously)
Something in my front diff is wrong. I originally thought it could be a bad u joint or pinion angle was wrong but we've narrowed it down to the front diff. Any time over 25mph its a grinding/shaking sound but if there is load on the engine it goes away.
Can't be heat warped since theres only about 30 miles on the diffs (half of those being snow wheeling), and don't think they were overheated because then it would make it very weak and break teeth.. So has to be something wrong when gears were installed in the diffs but not sure until we pull the third.

This is my drain plug after 30 miles on the diffs... yes some metal is normal but not this much, especially after 30 miles.

But my friend Nick who's the lead tech at Torfab knocked out my Tcase gears early this morning and flexed it out, pretty cool pic! Featuring 70 series Troopy and Ruger

I have no idea how much metal on brand new gears is normal / not normal. Weird that it only does it when the diff is not under load from the engine.....

We think it might be a loose pinion on wrong preload on the pinion. But won't know until we get it apart, may be something else.

The shop that linked it drove it around town for 15-20 minutes, let it cool, then took it on the highway up to highway speeds for short 5 minutes to make sure it was smooth and that was it. I picked it up and it made the noise right away going 25+mph, shop thought it was the tcase since I guess Jeeps make noise there since they are chain driven.

I thought it was a bad u joint or bad pinion angle, turns out its neither and definitely in the diff.

I then trailered it over the pass to go snow wheeling last weekend.

Also don't need to break the gears in before you go wheeling

Mine has been a complex story though. Local shop has had their hands on and in the diff. So I can't say ECGS is at fault.

Supposed to drop truck off on the 29th to have 3rd member pulled. Shipping back to ECGS.

Making a bit of noise again.
