Well about to pay for the one mod I told myself I'd never get because I thought they looked absolutely hideous... But way to good of a deal to pass up on.

Definitely worth it once the fender liners are gone

That's exactly why I'm getting it. I wish I didn't have to run one but it's better than what could happen to my engine if I don't

I'd say Chandler and I have used ours a few times. My engine would be long gone if I didn't have one

Yeah I know you guys have for sure. There is only 1 place around here with deep puddles in the winter, other than that I haven't encountered deep water here. But I'm getting it mainly for dust and so I don't suck crap into my intake with no fender liners

Just ordered mine! I think there are about 4 or 5 from this group. We should have a snorkel install day!

Airflow doesn't make them for 4runners I don't think. Or at least the 5th gen

Even 300$ isnt cheap enough for a piece of plastic IMO. Ill wait this one out a bit longer.

I was looking at GTs thread, i think he is the one who bought that LC pre filter to adapt into a snorkel.

There is another build on EP or somewhere ill have to share where a guy made one with that pre filter.

Yeah we'll see if I get a pre filter, hopefully just having it that high will reduce the dust enough

In other news my cbi overland bars ship tomorrow so I can finally put the tent on :woot:

@northwesttaco what led you to a snorkel vs rerouting your intake into the cowl?

Never thought about that but a few reasons why I wouldn't.. Airflow has a ram air head so it forced the air down into the intake, the cowl is horizontal which means air will flow right over it versus into it, leaves/crap from trees could easily go straight in, and it would collect every a lot of water so you would need a lot of drain holes.. The further up it is the less dust it'll collect, and lastly as @SjTacoSharks said, its #EAF
