    Thanks guys!!

The ride has changed a little but not much yet. I'll expect a change in about 500-700 miles when it breaks in.

Thanks guys!! I love them already, I can tell a difference even in this short amount of time, soaks up the bumps really well. The uniball UCA's are louder but not obnoxious, just when I hit bigger bumps/potholes. The driver side UCA through bolt was a PITA though, took an hour just to get it through!

Can't wait to get your fox's in Jermey!

Did you find a new taco yet Mark??

That sounds awesome. Yeah I did! 2015 DCSB TRD Off Road in December.
Modding it pretty well so far but I'm definitely leaning toward Icons adjustables in the front with Fox's in the rear and TC UCAs... similar to the set up your gonna get, I'm jelly of those kings tho. I know where I'm coming if I have any questions now :D

Oh awesome!! Do you have a build page yet?? If your ever back up here and want to test drive the Kings let me know! It'll change your mind ;)

No but I went with kings over icons because I wanted progressive timing, since I do mostly crawling and Fire roads which are both at low speeds so I wanted it to soak up the bumps. Icons are really good too though, can't go wrong with either.

Yeah I do, it's not near what my 1st Gen build was but it'll get going slowly but surely. I just need to update my sig sometime

Oh okay, I don't know a whole lot about the differences in shocks but I drive a lot of FS roads when I'm not down here so maybe I'll look into Kings too.
I might take you up on that offer to test drive kings if I don't get anything before May

Fox and King are progressive valve timing meaning the faster you go the stiffer they get, while Icon is digressive which is the exact opposite. I didn't got with Fox because unless you clear coat them I have heard they don't stand up to the weather very good and rust easily. My Kings are softening up real nicely, I can tell a huge difference on the highway. They may get stiffer as you go faster but heck they soak up every bump and pothole I've hit.

Also found out tonight that King uses metric hardware like our trucks but Icon uses SAE hardware, not sure why but im glad mine is metric.

Yeah feel free to come by if you haven't picked up anything yet! I also took off the sway bar so you can feel that too if yours is still on, true independent front suspension :D

Parked at the YMCA and turned around and thought it looked damn good! The front is 3/4" taller than before, going with 285's for sure next time.

Ah okay well now that narrows my choices down to 2. I had just always seen the majority get Icon so I assumed they were similar, but a lot of guys down here do desert driving so that could be why they'd want the Icons. I really do like that King uses metric... kind of nice if we have all the mm sockets we'd want.

Might take you up on that around May! I do have my sway bar, always heard about people taking them off especially when I had my 99' but I didn't know the pros/cons to it.

Aside from the (Kings) front shocks w/ coilovers, I want to get Total Chaos UCAs, extended shocks in the rear with either a OME AAL or an All Pro Standard or Expo pack, new U-Bolts... what else would I need??

I know with my 1st gen I needed to extend the rear brake lines, bigger bump stops were recommended, I did the front diff drop kit from Toytec-- would I need that to reduce/avoid vibrations? Anything else I'm missing?

Yeah I've seen a ton of guys who get icons say "I was going on a dirt road last night at 60+mph and it soaked up all the bumps!" Well that is why, they are digressive timing so they are softer.

Yeah for sure! What I notice is that there is more sway but it is only to a certain point, and that point isn't far. So yes there is more sway but not a ton more. I would leave it on if you drive like a rally truck but I don't.

I would stay away from the AllPro leaf packs. I've seen a few guys now that within a year their leafs are flat and they don't haul a ton of weight.. They may be a bit smoother riding but I know my dakars will last. If you go with the dakars you will need the leaf packs, u bolts, bushings and extended rear break lines. They say get a carrier bearing drop but don't, that is if you get drive line vibes and 80% of us don't so I would wait and see if I were you. I know a guy up here (actually JDAM) that bought one and didn't need it, Im sure he would sell you his.

Only reason you'd want new bump stops is if you do a u bolt flip. You don't need a front diff drop kit for 2nd gens, at least no one I have seen has one with a 3" inch lift.

So that narrows it down to progressive valve timing shocks. Hmm I haven't really heard that and I had a positive experience with the expos before so that's weird. I've been leaning toward Dakars AAL though just cause the OEM leaf pack doesn't all need to be replaced, just a little beef for some lift

Yeah I thought I read that 2nd Gens needed them and 1st Gens it was optional, but if they don't unless you have issues then good news!

Oh your talking about the Dakar AAL? That goes into the Dakar leaf pack for even more lift and extra weight capacity, not the OEM leaf pack.

Hmm I didn't do a diff drop and mine is perfect fine so not sure.

Went on a short weekend trip with Greddy and JDAM, ended up being quite an adventure. 12-15 degrees when we woke up this morning so it was a bit cold, then having conflicting signs towards civilization made it even better. Going to be pic heavy :D

Thanks guys! It was tons of fun but at the same time fucking cold. I had 5 heavy layers on and was somewhat comfortable, but then again I have hardly any body fat  Definitely going to wait a bit before camping again for temps to go up

How are the dipped rims holding up? I'm thinking about doing it to mine when it gets warmer out.

They hold up well as long as you don't go taking your tires off right after (I decided to rotate them so the socket to take the lug nuts off scratched it a little) and if you don't go wheeling a lot. I have had a few scrapes from branches/rocks. But other than that very well and super easy/cheap to do! I like it but I think when I get new tires ill be getting new wheels so I don't need the wheel spacers.
