    Why? I hate skinny and tall tires. Plus I want the tire to cover more surface area (why you air down) so 285's is what I want. Unless I want to go to dirty fives

    255s give you almost the hight of a 35 but without all of the added weight. Its kinda cheating. I will be regearing and going to 35s when my 255's wear out.

    Also.....I have been doing a lot of research on the BAMF relocation kit. So let me get this straight it allows you to run a ≈17" collapsed and ≈31" extended shock but the mount is significantly higher so doesnt this negate the extra extension that you get from the longer shocks? I have dakar springs and the shackles flipped and i am searching for a longer shock in the back so i can have more droop.

    I have a lot of life left on my 265's so I have some time to decide. I plan on regearing when I do lockers and that won't be for a year or 2

    I've just never been a fan of skinny tires, just my personal preference.

    But i would have to ask Jerry but my understanding was having the top of the shock higher allows for more up travel than stock

    Did the cooler mod this morning! Decided against an ARB fridge for many reasons. 65qt Pelican elite cooler for $250 at Costco, hard deal to pass on! Going to be using it this weekend. Also decided what front bumper ill be getting :spy:

    So today I installed the Dakar AAL by myself, which wasn't easy.. When I got the AAL in I had 2 problems.. 1) the axle had shifted backwards and 2) I couldn't compress the leaf pack enough by myself to get the center pin through. So after consulting with daboogyman and a few others we decided I needed to take the leaf packs out to manipulate the axle to get it back in place, essentially like putting in new leaf packs.. Well those leaf packs are 85lbs and that killed my back.. But I got them in and they raised the truck just over an inch but im sure it'll settle. Didn't take any pics of that but thanks to AWilson013 I have pics from Saturdays trip! Well a few..

    Went up with him and DavidPick (both of their trucks are :drool: ) We got into a bit of snow up around 4500ft and couldn't make it past a certain point, still had an awesome time though.
