just as good man, Pelican makes some quality products!! I saw the smaller ones on ur site hahaha what do u think a ball park figure would be to ship a Prinsu? how heavy are they really? I means its all aluminum eh? just curious, I need to get a few ducks in a row before I'm ready to pull the trigger, but I would probably snag a few other things off you at the same time hahaha

Pelican is definitely more pricey, but lifetime guarantee on all of their products, and the reputation that comes with it is pretty valuable!

I just went to the back and weighed the box that the prinsu is in, and it weighed 22kg. Shipping wouldn't be more than $100. We have it set up on our website as flat rate shipping based on weight right now. We tried to have it that the shipping was exact cost, but we ended up losing a ton of money because the website would say one thing, but when we took it to the post office it was twice as expensive. Mostly because we have some products that are light, but really big.

No rush man! If these ones sell out, we will have another shipment on it's way in no time!

you should start a thread in the Buy Sell Trade Canada thread man! get the word out! I just posted up the Canadian Roll Call and Whos From ONT threads hahaha as long as you don't start getting a bad rap like Core Outfitters you can become a Canadian vendor on here! Ever since I started getting into the truck moding scene I fantasized about opening up a shop like you have haha there isn't much out here for that kind of thing haha so I'm kind of living vicariously through you hahaha

that's not bad at all dude, ur prices are great, if I went straight through Prinsu with the conversion to cnd and shipping to me it would be a little cheaper, but nothing worth crying over. that is also assuming no import fees/duties and no taxes hahaha

Man I just saw that and sent you a PM thanking you! It's so huge for us! It always means more coming from a "customer" than it does from me, so that's really really cool! January was a tough go for us as we're not super well known yet, and nobody wants to spend money just after christmas, plus not many people are camping right now haha. So every bit of support we get is game changing!

I was so shocked by that whole Core debacle! I couldn't believe it! We won't ever go that way. We will only take a customer's money if we can make good on their purchase within a couple days, or have arranged it with them already.

This whole store thing has been a massive amount of work. I don't sleep much, and am basically just trying to make this thing happen with my wife 100% of the time. Hopefully it pays off in the long run! Being able to make our dream happen would be such an insane blessing!

We definitely could never compete with buying directly through Prinsu, or most US manufacturers, but the additional cost (i tried to keep it as low as possible) is also partially about convenience. No wait times, it's in your hands within days, or on the spot if you come into the shop! And it's expensive to hold inventory without product moving. We're learning so much haha!

yeah man I was pretty shocked too, but it happens unfortunately! he made some decent products too. a good fab place is certainly hard to come by, especially one that specializes in off road armor hahaha but it is what it is hahaha it would be nice to know a guy up here cuz shipping skids or sliders aint cheap! that's why I got lucky that a fellow member who lives close to mobtown was nice enough to meet us in Binghampton. saved me a bundle on shipping! I will be doing the same thing for when I get sliders!

I can imagine how much work it must be to get the ball rolling, but it will certainly all be worth it in the long run. once everything is up and running and ur name gets out there then you will be good to go and things might get easier haha I mean, people out in BC were trying to order stuff from Core so you should have no problem picking up some more clients hahaha

well you are doing a great job competing with their prices man, I think being up here, we have come to expect to pay a little more and we are okay with that. its great that you carry these items in stock cuz it means u can fill the orders quickly and get the items to people faster! and like you said, its in ur hands if you walk into the shop.

You have created a seriously awesome truck. How are those 35's on stock gears?

    Thanks!!!

It really depends on what you can live with I think... Reading through TW you'd come out with the impression that the truck is undrivable. I find it fine for around town, a pig going up hills, and I use 4lo in 90% of wheeling situations. I wouldn't want to live with it forever, but it's definitely not as bad as I expected after getting the general TW consensus.

4.88's and lockers as soon as I can afford it! So I may get them in the next few years at this rate... haha!

That's where I'm at, it's kinda cart before horse sort of deal. 4.88 on 33's would suck. But the gutless wonder of 35's! Ughhhhhhh.

I hoping to come up there this summer for some exploration. So I might just take you up on that. I haven't spent much time up there outside of a city. We used to go up all the time for skate parks when I was a teen.

You definitely should! That would be dope! There's so much to see here it's insane.

I must say that, while she's a bit dogged on 35's and stock gears, the ride with 35's aired down off road is amazing compared to the 265/75 I had before. Especially with the BP-51's. My main problem is that as soon as I get 4.88's I know that I'm going to be cutting and tubbing for 37's haha.

That why I'm considering 4.56's to prevent me from going crazy.

What do you have your comp and rebound set at?

Not really sure to be honest. I took it out for a day on some of my typical terrain and ran it back and forth over the same section for a couple hours dialling it in. Not really sure what I ended up on. I come from mountain bikes, so mess around with suspension a lot. The rebound setting is definitely way more important than the compression in my opinion.

For compression I found a spot where it was as soft as I could without bottoming out too hard on big hits front and rear, then for rebound I set that as fast as I could without feeling like the truck was bouncing. I think I run it a lot slower in the back because I found that the rear end liked to buck a bit through cross ditches until I slowed it down. I'm really happy with where it's at now. I think I'm able to run the compression a bit firmer front & rear because the 35's give me that first couple inches of soft travel.

The ride is unreal... however, I am definitely wishing that I had more travel a lot of the time. At least in the rear. It's a bummer that OME doesn't make extended travel versions.

I've thought the same thing a couple times. I think I need to readjust mine. I took a bunch of gear out of my truck and it feels to stiff now.

Does anybody have any measurements for a dcsb frame? I am doing research for my eventual plans way down the road. I want to flat deck, and do the Chevy 63 swap. I want to shorten my wheelbase a bit while I'm at it though.

The two main things I'm wondering are where the fuel tank mounts compared to a dclb, and where the frame starts to rise beneath the cab. I would like to shorten my wheelbase 8" or so. But it looks like the axle would hit my gas tank.
