I have a 2010 Tacoma v6, I haven't had any problems with it. But the past few days its been actin up a little. Ill stop at a stop sign and go to accelerate and it revs and than almost catches and jerks? I needed an oil change and thought that was why she was runnin like shit. So I changed my oil, I put 5 liters of full synthetic oil, the high mileage stuff. But I've only got 46,000 miles on it so maybe that was a mistake. But It seems to have gotten a little worse since I changed my oil. Does anyone else have this problem? I'm not sure if its my transmission or somethin with the gears or what? Someone please help me out

I don't think so I'm not 100% sure though, I guess I should call and see. Like I said its got 46000 miles on it I think, I dunno how long the warranty on the transmission goes for. Are you aware by chance?

    Too few to list.
It's a sealed trannsmission but still can be checked. Symptoms of low fluid. Searched the how to's on drain and refill.

I've heard of folks pulling the wrong drain plug then overfilling the engine cause they drained the trans by mistake. Check your engine dipstick. Is it overfilled? Hope not. Good luck.

That's it, total dumb ass move. Drained the tranny not thinking. I drove 2.1 miles on it. Took it to jiffy lube. There flushin it and fillin the transmission. Thanks for the help guys, definitely woulda pooched her without the input. Hopefully my tranny isn't toast. Can't believe I did that.

I think your truck will be fine as even if you drain it, it's not completely drained though taking it to "iffy lube" would not be the place I would take it. Hopefully it works out for you.

Wait a second. You said you attempted the oil change AFTER it started running poorly and it seemed to be a little worse after that. So, something was wrong with the transmission before you drained the fluid. No?

Should've taken it to a dealer instead of Iffy Lube... Powertrain warranty is 5 years / 60,000 mi.
