Hey guys! So I ordered a faux pro grille on Amazon. Was 100 bucks shipped. Seller was motorfansclub, and when I got the grille it was with out the “Toyota” insert. So he shipped it to me and I got it and notice the letters were all ready installed from factory. But it has the tss spot so I installed it. Well the tss didn’t work all the time,so time to order the radiator garnish to go over the sensor. Well I had a chance today to swap them out and here’s what I found. This Chinese grille won’t work with the Toyota factory garnish without modification.

    Here are some pics.

Installed now,not stoked on the gap up top. But I can live with it for now. I had to cut some tabs off the factory yota garnish and tap holes in the garnish posts. I used two screws on top and nothing on the bottom. But I used a 5/64” drill bit and that thing is screwed in and not going anywhere.

So just a little FYI if you have TSS watch for what grille you get not all Chinese knocks are created equally. If your 2016-2017 your good to go this is a nice grille. Plastic does feel nice and thick/strong like oem.

Yeah the grille is Chinese for sure. The “radiator garnish” is factory Toyota though. No one makes a knock off garnish that I know of. But it came in the factory wrapping with Toyota part number.

Just trade your truck in for a pre 2018 and that grill will work.

Yeah a ton of people's did kinda Why I wrote up the the tread, to show people that some are not compatible and to check the TSS Sensor spot in pictures. If it has 4 screws it wont work with factory Garnish.
