I know we need another MPG thread. :)

Anyway, I was pleasantly surprised to figure I was getting 19.8 MPG... engine isn't even broken in (not even 1k miles yet). I drive a manual.

I have been taking it easy... shifting at 2.3k RPMs... and not really pushing it hard at all. Most of my drive to work is about 58 MPH in 6th gear... using cruse control.

I just filled up on my way to work and figured out that my 09 v6 double cab 4x4 manual is getting 18.4 MPG. I have had it almost 2 months and it has about 3.1K miles on it.

For the 4x4, that's pretty good.

I've had my 09 for almost 2 months, 3500 miles on it now. It's a PreRunner DC LB, and I'm getting right at 20 with mostly suburban driving. I'm very happy with it.

My friend just got an 09 F150 with the "SFE" package. He's supposed to get around the same mileage as me, but the best he's seen with more highway driving is 16.

I get about 17.5 MPG combo driving.
It seems doing 70 and over MPH really kills highway mileage.

I've gotten as high as 23 with mine, driving under 60 on the local roads. It's a V-6 auto.

I try and stick right around 70-75. With the 5-Spd auto, that keeps the RPM's just over 2k, which for me yields the best results.

A few weeks ago, I had to go between my office and the one 50 miles away. My best Guestimate is that I was getting close to 22 on the freeway.

Well I am excited to say that I have had my 2009 tacoma double cab for two weeks now. Have 2200 miles on it so far. I know I have been driving a lot cause I love the truck so much. Last weekend on a road trip to Flordia I set the cruise on 80 and was pleasently suprised that I got between 20-21 mpg down and back. I have also been averaging right at 19 in town.

4wd? That's excellent if you do.

I'm on the fence with mileage. Part of me likes the fact I get 19mpg mixed driving, but then I see trucks like my dad's friend's 08 F150 STX 5.4. He gets 18mpg on the highway and 14-15mpg in town. That's not THAT far off what we get in a MUCH bigger truck.

Yes, 4x4. I would 85% of my dirving is highway. I try to avoind fast take-offs and am generally light on the puddle. That is unless I come across some mud.

    98 yeah the 4.7 was a very good mpg, both the 04 DC & 06 AC I had. I liked that small v8 a lot. :)

My 4.0 auto is just starting to show me better numbers mpg wise. Around 19ish consistantly but its taken a while for it to get there.

19.8 in 6spd is good start, it'll get better as it breaks in. Looks like you';ve found 1500-2000 is the place to be cruising.

4.5 years old now, I wont see below 20mpg till next fall. Just got 21 loaded up with 400 lb moto/gear in the bed, plus 4 in the cab.
