Lucky for the Tacoma manual fans there is some legitimacy to your weird fetish. That 1st gear ratio , plus the 4.33 gears makes for a nice and low crawl in 4 low. It’s totally noticeable if your ever drive down the same steep hill in the manual, then get out and try it in the superior auto. sooooo ,plus one for the manuals.

Other than that using a clutch is bogus. I think we can appreciate this absurdity with the following hypothetical situation:

    - walk into car dealership wishing to purchase new M3, hellcat or what ever bad ass vehicle you have been dreaming about.

Salesman- “why yes sir we have that model. It comes it two main options. The faster version, and the slower version”.
You - “Ohhhhh yeah I think I’ll spend all that money and choose the slowest option possible”
    ”but sir...”.
“Eh eh eh. Not another word , I want the manual , I know it’s slower , I just need to feel the car. Oh the feellllll. I’m going to feel it all around and inside me ..feeell”.
“ uh okay sir , I mean it’s the same price so we are making $$$ no mater what ”

Driving a manual is easier than ever, when I learned, my heart raced when I was on a hill. Now, there is hill assist in manuals. And in the new corolla and focus rs, there is this feature where the car will add throttle for you to prevent a stall, making it near impossible to stall unless you legit just drop the clutch.

i just don't know what to think of it. synchros & ABS are great so why not that too? i don't know but i don't like any nannies at all. but i let VSC live on for my family. just that & ABS if i can get away with it.

i never drove a stick before then i had to one day and everyday. that was in Queens, NY up a crowded hill with a light at the top and the L.I.E. on the other side. MT trial by fire.

Toyota pickup enthusiasts don’t give a shit about speed.

don’t get me started on those kook fuckin posers foaming at the mouth for turbos. They came from Mazda 3’s and Subaru’s.
