I'm getting as advertised so far, hoping it will get better as I rack up the mileage. (only 5k km's atm) Added a tonneau cover and side steps so there's abit of extra weight.

IMG_3642.jpg Stock 2019 Sport, A.C., auto, V6, 4X4 and still keeps getting better with just over 15k miles. N.W. PA. you're either going up hill/a grade or going down with no open highway driving. No jack rabbit starts, ECT always on, click over to 4th before truck loses momentum/lugs down at base of large hills and yes, there are two 1/2 mile hills in which going down I bump into neutral (this truck really coasts well). I am very pleased with 451 miles per tank. B.T.W. this is with the E88 Sheets (15% ethanol) had for a dollar off over the 4th of July weekend.

I almost exclusively drive in the city and even when I'm on the interstate, it is usually very short trips to get me from one part of town to the other (like 5-10 minutes).

I'm in WV and live on top of a small mountain (compared to where the closest town is...about 5 minute drive to the bottom though).

On my way to work going down the mountain, I average between 21-22mpg. But on my way home going back up, I average between 13-14. My tank averages have been between 16-18mpg.

I don't drive any differently going back home, it's just all uphill. My truck is completely stock, just went over 1k miles the other day, and I'm rarely ever going over 2k rpms.

Speed limits in town are between 25mph and 35mph and going up my mountain they are 35mph and 40mph.

LOL, these MPG posts....love it. Own a jeep w/ 37's then see on the jlwranglerforum all the guys talk about why they can't get 18 mpg. I have a stock truck and live at elevation 4500 ft, soft foot, and man it's difficult to get 19mpg consistently at the pump. My buddy whom has a tacoma too, we laugh and joke when one of us actually hits 20 mpg on a tank (rare).

I'm not arguing the mileage cus highway at 75 in Reno @4500 feet elevation over 20 isn't doable.

But since when did BMW make a "V6" M3 o_O

I have a lifted TJ on just 33" MTRs. Fuely below says 12.5, but the odometer is off by 10%, so make that 13.75! I recently drove it to Colorado for camping ... 3700 miles ... about $1350 for gas.

The only way my stock Tacoma gets 20+ is keeping it under 65 mph and driving on flat roads, no stops, no headwind, which rarely happens.

Not necessarily true. My stock Tacoma gets 20+ on a tank easily. I drive between 55-70 mph on the highway, leave space in front of me so I have plenty of time to react (ex, coast to slow or use breaks), and don't accelerate like I'm on the bike. My current tank is around 22.5 mpg and it's mainly 70/30 highway/city. In Maryland, it isn't flat since there's hills and such (Appalachians right near by), but I do understand it isn't Colorado. Saying that you have to be completely flat is misleading. Just gotta have good driving habits and quit with the lift kits and big tires unless you need them

My Tacoma is stock. Most of my driving is stop and go, mixed in with some interstate with heavy traffic at 70-75 mph, with hills, in Indiana. My trips also include crossing South Dakota twice a year (second property), 80+ mph, lots of hills, and headwinds ... have gotten down to the 14s on several tanks!

This was after filling up, following a semi, no wind, 55 mph for 20 miles on a flat road.

    lUJ2sS_15c8902af79177eae207f2c5e66a499422211ab3.jpg

However as you can see in my fuely below, my overall average is 17.5 and I generally drive like an old guy. I'd like to go up a tire size but that truly scares me. :)

Disagree here. 3 back to back tanks with an average of 21 over mpg.
When I look at my tank averages it's not a 300-400 mile daily trip with 2-3 starts/stops. With a stoplight or 3.
Its over 3 weeks with the mileage being 64% hwy. 36 city.
    • 55-60 engine starts and stops. 21 of them being morning cold starts.
    • 40 give or take 2 or 3 stop signs
    • And at least 130-140 stoplights.
True the mileage may be a 64-36 split. But the trucks operation time is a probably 50/50 hwy/city.
    And still 21 mpg average.

I have a 22 sr5 double cab 4x4 v6 with 2000 miles. The worst I have gotten is 23.4 on a tank and that included towing my camper for 120 of it. I couldn’t be happier with it.
