    In a nut shell:
What i had=== 16x10 MT Classic II with 285/75 toyo open countrys.
(problem:scrubed, stuck out too far, slung mud, ect..)

Bought new: 16x8 Helo with 265/75 Dayton timberlines.

Now, i have a 2" level kit on the truck ( 2006 dc 4x4) before the new tires, but now it seems like too much space between tires and finder wells.

Question is, should i put the 285's back on it, would i still have old problems? i mean i know that there is a 2" difference in wheel width and the new wheels have a 4.5 backspace and 0 offset so they are not deep like the mickey thompson.

Oh, by the way, i bought the new tires from a friend that owns a tire and brake shop and he could not balance the front tires so he had them trued. now im new at all this, but it seems to me that new tires on new wheels should not have to be cut on. so, im pissed, but im a nice guy and dont know how to handle situation. thinking about sending them back and putting old ones ( which are in excellent shape) back on. just wondering what i should do.

did you mean the whole 1st set up or just the tires. cause its too late to do something about them, but not so much as the tires.
