Thanks to the 3" lift and the NFAB Nerf bars. The sides have remained dent and door ding free.

Interesting, mine froze just before it died. Won't power on again. Fuse is good and all that.

Mine would freeze and wouldn't do anything. Doing a hard reset solved the problem each time. Been a while so I can't remember which button it was.

As far as the paint goes. It basically looks like the day I bought it. The truck is driven daily but garage kept at night. I hand wax it every Spring and Fall with
Meguiars Ultimate Liquid Wax. I touch it up between waxes with Meguiars Ultimate Quick Wax. Never used a clay bar on her. Just the Mequiars on a regular schedule.

The BakFlip bed cover I added about 3 years back still looking pretty good. I clean and protect it with Meguiar's Natural Shine vinyl and rubber protectant.
Has Scochguard and UV protectors. I would have preferred a non vinyl tri-fold top. But was offered a deal on this one that was too good to pass up.

No, still have to send it off to Kenwoods repair place in Virginia Beach, but there's like specific things I have to include. With a pup recently getting a hospital visit (he's fine now) it kinda fell by the wayside. Just not looking forward to a potential $150+ repair bill. Still cheaper than a new unit, but a tough pill to swallow nonetheless considering other expenses.

It's the original factory grill. Just with a Diaz Fabrication Toyota Devil Horn emblem and an Amazon TRD badge.

Life with my Tacoma / thoughts and opinions. Good thread. Thanks.
(sorry for my poor english / my mother tongue is french)

I bought my first Taco 8 years ago ( 2008 TRD sport DC with 12k miles), I did 118k miles with ; and last november I got a 2014 DC long bed with 14k miles.

As a cattle ranch manager in various tropical countries, I use my truck 80 % off-road, with severe dust or mud conditions (depending of the season), bad gasoline, and when I ride on paved roads, those are very bad roads.
Since 1981, except 2 short times with Nissan (and poor experiences), I've always worked with Toyota's .
I 've used 5 models of Land Cruiser FJ45, LC HZJ75, LC HZJ80, LC LJ78, LC LJ71G, and 2 Hilux.

And after 8 years of use, I can say the Tacoma is the best and most reliable truck I ever worked with.
    From far.
I know a lot of folks here who ride Hilux, Ford Ranger, Nissan , Chevy S10,
No one of those trucks can work for years in our road conditions as the Tacoma, without any issue, except the routine maintenance (maybe the Hilux, but I would not like to change my V6 gas engine for a 4 cyl.diesel...)
Sometimes I watch on Youtube "tacoma mudding" or "tacoma offroad" .... Let me laugh, they are funny sunday drives, nothing in comparison with the job we have here when we have to drive 100 or 200 miles after rain, in heavy and deep mud, or in heavy dust following a 6 or 8 cattletrucks train...

So. Just to tell you I'm happy with my Tacoma. Don't want another truck.
The only improvements : Bilstein 5100 series, (in another thread I've complained of my poor experience with Old Man Emu); metalic front bumper, ; Mud tires; 2" lift ; AFE power air filter.
I change the engine oil and oil filter each 3k miles (5W40 full synth).

I will post a pic after replacing my broken bumper.

Man you are hard on a rig. But sounds like the ol' Taco really rings the Bell for ya. "pun intended"
You say your a cattle ranch manager in tropical countries. Ever worked in Argentina? Lots of steak and leather there. Got to be a shit load
of cattle ranches in that country.

    I said dirty roads;
better saying : crappy and shitty roads

    western Paraguay = 95,000 sq.miles, and only 300 miles paved roads !

    need a good reliable truck

My truck has Bilstiens from the factory. I guess you referring to the 5100's? What makes you say blocks and spacers are better when most say the opposite?

Factory Bilstein's on TRD models are not 5100 series
