Hey Taco fam! New member, recently purchased a 2018 Trd sport. I appreciate this forum since many of my questions have been answered here by checking old posts. I can’t seem to find a good answer for what I’m occasionally dealing with. When I’m away from my truck, like over 12 hours or more, when I come back it won’t read my key fob. I’ve replaced the battery in the fob. So when it happens I now have to take the battery out of the fob and put it back in and then it reads it and the truck will start. Any ideas? Thanks in advance

It only came with one fob when I purchased it. I will post a picture on the thread. I’m not sure if it’s even original.

Does your truck still not start when you touch the Fob on the Push To Start button?

Also you might try gently rubbing steel wool on the contacts where the coin battery sits in the Fob.

if that fob breaks or you lose it i think it might cost alot of money to get new fobs (more than if you have a working fob)

Are you using quality battery in fob? Don't use cheap brand, like from Amazon.

This looks like an easy way to get a second fob. Thank you
