    Nothing fun yet...
I've actually been on TW for almost 2 years now, but I've never actually posted anything before... mostly because I've found the search function and stickies to be invaluable when I'm looking for info on my truck. I'm finally planning to do some more serious work on my Taco over the next year or so, so I figured it's time I introduce myself.

I have a black 2008 TRD-OR Access Cab that I've had for a few years now, but I haven't really started to do any serious "mods" to it yet. It's my daily driver, so I've taken care of some creature comforts (stereo and speakers, window tint, CB radio, etc.), but I'm looking at adding a small lift and armor, as well as some recovery options to make it more trail-ready. I've had a small army of Jeeps before I got this truck, but that Toyota dependability has me converted to the dark side. Plus, you can fit a LOT more gear in the back of a truck than the back of a Wrangler!

I'm looking forward to being more active on this forum and seeing ya'll on the trails!

Haha I don't know what happened with my Tacoma, none of my Jeeps stayed stock for more than a few months and I've kept this truck stock for a few years now!

I've gotta go out and get it in some compromising positions first... only pics I have right now are on forest service roads. That'll change soon though!

I guess I just knew my TJ wasn't a great camping(or overlanding) vehicle. The Tacoma is more capable in that aspect. I'll always have a place for CJ's, YJ's, and TJ's(they lost me when the plastic grill came along :D), I'm just past the point of DD'ing one

There's a special place in my heart for the YJ and TJ (I had a JK too, but I wasn't a fan), but like you said, they're not nearly as good of camping or overlanding rigs as a Tacoma. I love camping and really want to get into more overlanding type of adventures, so the Tacoma is the obvious choice there. I might get a TJ as a project car down the road, but that's several years away for me, unfortunately.
