Nope - One other person in our group also lost their transfer case, but they had it easier as I believe they lost just the actuator. In my case, everything is gone :(

You mean the Mojave water crossing? That's odd that the tcase took on water, I've done that twice with two groups and no one had and issues with water leaking into tcases or diffs. Well I did have water come through my doors but that's a different issue...

Sorry to hear hope it gets fixed up soon! Version 2.0 sounds awesome btw

When we pulled the actuator out, water came out with it. The main issue is how the second gen Tacoma's are all electrical unlike your J-shifter for 4wd and 4lo. All the electrical components inside the Tcase are probably corroded to sh*t now since it's been sitting there for a bit. It's not really a big deal as I'm happy to go to the FJ setup and have a stick instead, but just a little costly unfortunately.

Lol must have been looking really hard for that river in SoCal! 4ft, where's that?

At that water level FJ case ain't gonna help ya, your transmission is probably water logged too then. Both tcase and trans vents are plumbed together to the top of the bell housing.

And 4ft is gonna immerse the alternator and lots of other electrical components too so I'd go through the truck with a comb now so you don't suffer tons of electrical gremlins later

Afton right after a week of raining - it was halfway up my door, if not more. In reality, lets say it was 3.5 feet lol. 4 may be a push.

Shhhhhh let me believe I’ll be fine with just a manual case HAHA! I know there’s so much more to it. Before the trip I covered everything in dialectric grease/silicone as I knew Afton would be deep. I extended my breathers for front and rear diff even higher.

I actually just ordered a new tcase today from fleabay, lets hope it fixes everything and gets the truck back on the road! This is my attempt before going to the manual case.
