Hey guys I just put on a set of wheels and tires on my stock 2013 double cab sb 4x4, wheels are konig countersteers, tires are 265/75/R16 bfg km2's. the truck is completely stock and I wanted to go with a stock size tire but this is the closest size they had. I have always had bfg all-terrain tires on my tacoma's, never had any problems with them, I wanted to give the km2's a try. They are pretty rough in comparison to the all-terrains and the stock rugged trials. The do rub very slightly at full lock mostly seems like the drivers side only. I'm concerned that the ride being much rougher with these tires that it will cause some issues with bushings or suspension components, am I just being too paranoid or should it workout fine. The truck does seem to pull a little side to side when driving 60-65 mph on the freeway. Maybe cause the tread blocks are bigger and wider apart?

I'll be looking into a small lift probably around 1.5-1.75 inches in the front with some new coilovers, I don't go offroad a lot mostly just camping and snowboarding. Let me know what you guys think.

looks good, but that is a lot of off-road tire considering your use. If you are ok with the stiffness of load E tires and the noise of an MT you should be fine.

I think it looks good man, maybe install some bilstein 5100's and set them to what you like...

Mud tires are aggressive and do / can wonder a bit on the freeways, just the way they are. I wouldn't worry about it. It's the tire not the truck in your case. ( cause your stock).
Truck looks good by he way .

    Thanks

    Brett

Thanks guys I think it looks awesome, I'm just afraid of running into issues later on. I'll try to give these a try for a little while see how it feels, maybe ill just go back to stock and sell this set if its too much.

If you plan on keeping the truck stock I don't see why you would have issues down the road. Start lifting it blah blah, that's when you might start having minor issues.
Larger tires, fender trimming, cab mount chop etc, etc. loss of power bad mileage . At the least with the new tires you have on now will give a little lower mpg, maybe.

    Thanks

    Brett

Yeah I know what you mean about the issues associated with lifts, my thoughts were that I could avoid all those problems with a mild 1.5-1.75 inch lift, or do you still run into problems with any amount of lift?

I'd be down to go to meets, I'm sure I can get my gf to tag along too she's digging the tacoma modding haha, I don't think she's a good influence if she keeps letting me buy more crap for my truck :)

Should check out the NorCal spotted and bs thread. Introduce yourself and let the good times begin.
Everything I've learned about tacomas I've learned here on TW .
