Throw the carpet ones back in, toss a couple soccer balls in back and call it good.

You pretty well walked into it bro. There are TONS of photos around here of what they look like coming out the box, what they look like in almost every interior/exterior color and configuration that exists. There is no way you can argue that there is PLENTY of information about how the look/feel/work.

You still have the TRD seats and what ever else you have in your trim package- Get some Wet Okole seat covers and you'll forget all about the floor mats....so sell them to someone here- there are lots of folks who will take them for you I'm sure.

To hell with the carpet! You already stripped it down that far, just rhinoline the interior. If you do a good job it'll look nice. That way you don't have to worry about flooding your truck again...

I love mine. I don't care if they don't make the truck luxurious. It is after all, a truck and is meant to get dirty. One time actually having your truck off road or something and you will be glad you have them. Dragged a lot of mud into mine a couple weeks ago, was nice not having to worry about carpet. Just took them out and hosed them off.

Only problem is if I left the forum I couldn't watch half of the morons hack the shit outta your trucks. Halarious stuff, espcially when someone posts a technical issue he/she is having. It's like every person on this site is an auto tech. lol. I'll just keep to myself for now instead of contributing, no biggie.

I think the problem is that your 2010 model trucks original carpet floor mats are still too nice looking for you to appreciate the protection the weather techs offer. Just put your carpet mats on top of the weather techs & have the best of both worlds for a little while & when your carpet mats look like crap in a year or so you will understand.

I don't like the looks of them either but I plan on getting a set to keep in the garage for when it snows or when I'm wallerin' in the mud.

Thanks saltshaker, that might be the best idea yet. I think I might use them in the winter, then change them in the summer.

Well I bought the fronts locally and like the look and function, but they seem slick, if I step wrong my foot will slide, so I'm still iffy on them.

I am gonna have to agree... I am not sure I like the "look" of the weathertech either... I am sure they are functional and that is why I ordered them but they do make the truck look cheap IMO.. my wife looked at them and said... "you paid $80 bucks for that?" Her first impression was the same.... they looked cheap.

BUT.... I am sure they will perform their function well and protect the carpet that you cannot see anyway so I guess I will keep them.

C'mon now, think! If a new person searches on weathertech mats, he or she will find out that the black rubber mats actually look like black rubber, just like in the pictures. They will not look carpety (or is it carpetish) at all. We're all about helping people here on Tacomaworld. Of course it won't help those who want to buy tan or grey weathertechs. The jury is still out on those. I realize I'm rather hopeful that a newbie will actually search for carpet weathertechs. Maybe we should make it a sticky?
