    I heard from my Auto sound tech guy this information:

    If you are going to remove the stock head unit from your taco, make sure you do not turn the volume all the way down before you remove it. Keep the volume at half way.

    The reason is that the stock head unit has a built in mute if the volume is turn all the way down. And if you remove the head unit with it in the mute mode, you will be pulling out hairs trying to figure out why you don't get any sound through your new head unit. I'm not sure if this pertains to only the JBL system or not, but better to be safe than sorry.

    i also noticed that there is a little yellow paper notice of this inside my scosche wiring harness
