    I don't think this would prevent the engine from starting though. If it doesn't fix it, check the coils! I had that issue with my 96 2.7 and I replaced stuff for over a year! I ended up replacing the coil in the distributor and it drove like a dream. You should have 2 coil packs instead of a distributor
