Miami, Florida here. Every inch of this city has a pot hole. I hit them all. No alignment needed. Even after lift.

Same, and it's probably because I'm not sure if they're being sarcastic or serious. I still think it's only a truck by the loosest definition but it's still more truck than 90% of people need.

@MCCM Most vehicles are out of alignment to some degree by the time they hit the dealer after being shipped across country with the suspension fully loaded; settling suspensions can push that even further. It's definitely possible yours needs one at 15K. Mine was a hair out at 6 miles before I drove it off the lot.

I've had both. I prefer the 3rd gen. The built-in GoPro mount and pillar vinyl sealed it for me.

You sure all the "I hate my 3rd gen threads" don't do it for themselves?

Nope we specifically need some 2nd gen owners to chime in to really let us know. Otherwise how would we know, because that's the gold standard by which all Tacomas are judged by.

A new vehicle needing an aliment is not uncommon. Just keep in mind the sheer volume of trucks being produced each month. I personally requested an alignment with about 1000 miles on my truck and guess what, it was off. That is why Toyota has systems in place to correct issues like that free of charge for new vehicles.

I buy a truck for the long haul, fix what I don't like or needs it and keep it. Short term owners are more bothered by the fixes since they don't have the years that follow to average out. Few vehicles are perfect, few are lemons, most are in between.

You let your wife buy your truck? She made a good choice, but if you loved your Nissan, why switch. Collision warning systems shouldnt have been the reason for going Tacoma.

I understand you probably wanted it considering you just totaled your last vehicle, but the better option is to just not drive so damn close to people and stop looking at your phone. A warning system is just an excuse to continue to drive like an a$$.

Better option is to have his wife drive him around in her Ridgeline.

Yeah, actually. It’s very confrontational and likes to hit where it hurts. Mine told me I was an embarrassment to my family and that my gf was probably cheating on me
