Is there anything I should be aware of when I do not use the tire pressure sensors on my winter tires?

The little yellow light will show up on your dash about five minutes after you start the truck, and there's no way to extinguish it.

Other than that, its fine. Just stick electrical tape over it or something.

I did that with my 2013 4Runner. You learn to ignore the light.

A tire shop may refuse put the rims without sensors on the truck. If you do it yourself, your fine.

As others have said, the TPMS light will be on constantly, but other than that, everything should work fine. My batteries in my sensors died years ago, and I never cared to have them replaced. I go to the mountains frequently, so I pay attention to my tire pressure anyway :notsure:. When I bought a second set of wheels to have mud tires put on, I had them place a regular rubber valve in just to avoid the extra cost of buying TPMS sensors and calibration. If the light on the dash doesn't bug you, then you should be fine.

@Fat boy what's keeping you from purchasing new sensors for your winter set up?
