Not Who I saw.... But what I saw.

So on my way home, about 30 minutes ago, I witnessed an unmarked 2nd Gen Tacoma pull over some very suspicious guys ... I couldnt see the front to make out how new it was but the back had a very small red and blue light strip. Small enough to fit between the bellow the tailgate and top of bumper. Found it very cool. Has anyone else witness this before? Also, moderators if I'm breaking some law or rule with this thread please delete.

yes i know this is az but i read title and thought it was going to be some really bad looking car/truck and wanted to see. lol

 

thats crazy i seen something like that but never a tacoma damn cops

 

most of them are fire fighters tho not cops. some have just amber flashers tho.

 

some depardmets around here have the following. KPD i know has like 2 dodge rams the fog light on them are red and blue.. a chevy tahoe. and some other cars. KCSO(knox county is out side city limits) i know they have some fords and some suvs/s one deparment has a plain white charger

 

I have seen a silver lifted taco with tires and black wheels pulled over to the side with all his lights going off, arresting some ppl. Crazy sight! There was another officer with him in a marked car. I guess he convinced his chief to let him use his personal truck as a unmarked car.

We have officers here who drives confiscated drug dealers' cars - all kinds of Escalades, mustags etc. They just add stobes to them and blend in with the crowd - perfect under cover cars.
I am not sure if drug dealers like Tacomas

Yep, there's a company that makes emergency lights for several different makes of vehicles, Tacoma's included. Just to be clear this is a BIG NO NO if you're not an emergency responder.

 

I was very surprised to see a tocoma... I was going to turn around to take a picture but then thought that's would be a bad idea.

 

LOL, probably a good call. I wish our local department would run Tacos. You'd find me at the police vehicle auctions all the time!

Last summer in Ontario, I saw an unmarked Sienna with someone pulled over.

 

tacomas and four runners are the only non "american made" police cars ive ever seen in the south. they are mostly for beach patrol and such. I always try to look out for undercovers which are usually vics or American brand that have dark windows.
