I've noticed some of my tools get a little bit of rust on it as well, but so far so good

If that's the case can't you just leave them open at home after water gets in them to dry them off to help with that?

Yeah you could just leave it open and get the water out, but I've never had a puddle of water. If you get rubber washers for the bottom holes it'll keep puddles out

Wasn't trying to be a smart ass. Just saying ever so often just let it sit out so your gear doesn't get moist and start to rust

Water shouldn't get into them period. Pelican is the best

I saw cabelas has some 100$ cases that seem promising but the price on that Academy one is too sweet.

haha no you just said "if that's the case" and you were talking about a case. I found it to be punny.

But I've never had water in it, just noticed a little rust starting to take place on certain tools. I wouldn't worry about it seeing you'll save a lot of money getting Plano compared to Pelican

you could always throw a bag of dessicant in there to soak up any random moisture that gets in :notsure:

Lots of bolt on chrome stuff
Yeah... I don't even bother doing that... but you could. It's not like there's puddles, but my stuff gets condensation on it. one of my snatch blocks got all rusty. I leave the cases loaded all the time and sometimes don't check in them for a month or two. If you would do the same, just don't put anything too sensitive to moisture in there.

For the record I did use a rubber washer with the holes I drilled so it should be fairly well sealed there.

Ordered this one. I know it's a 36" but it's ok to be a little different. If I see that I need a 42" one I'll order one.

Monkey see monkey do kind of guy once again... After Andrew has supposedly decided on which tire to get, @Tretiak30 puts up a poll for which tire, so Andrew must put up a poll.

lol maybe if someone starts a SFA conversion, then Andrew will come to his senses and start his too instead of paying for regear and 37's twice

Andrew needs to make up his mind and not be like Dory from Finding fucking Nemo. "Im not going to SAS soon" *2 hours later "Ohh look axles!". Don't need to go through this again with 37's
