So I know a lot of us have had the problem with the resistor in the compass/temp gauge. I also had this problem and fixed it thanks to the help I got from this site (easy fix). However, about a year after I fixed it my compass display started randomly going dim and turning off. This went on for about a month until the display completely went out! I checked it and the resistors and connected just fine!
Anyone else out there have this problem???

Even though you don't see any obvious separation with the resistors, I'm willing to bet if you dropped a bead on each one it will fix the problem. Had the same issue with my buddies truck and was fixed in this way. Have also read many others on here reporting their problem was fixed as well even though the connections looked fine.

    Goodluck

So I finally had a chance to take another look today you were right! I dropped another bead on each one and it worked. Up and running again! Thanks for the help!
