Notch in Bed?

Anyone know if these are for a specific accessory? If not, has anyone fab'd anything creative for them? Pictures?

 

They are for putting down a 2x6 i believe so your capable of hauling a 4x8 sheet of plywood!

Thanks! That's kind of what I was thinking about using them for but wanted to make sure I wasn't missing out on something more awesome.

 

I'll be building a bed frame using those slots when I get my soft topper

 

Yep - a couple of 2x6's and some ply make a great shelf that is easy to put in and remove. Not a great picture but should give you the idea.

 

And this is why TW is a great place to frequent, I would never have thought about this, dam another project to consider.
