Peace of mind.... I mean $10,000 out of pocket is $10,000 out of pocket, right?

When I was shopping for mine I was amazed by the number of “titled” Tacoma’s for sale in my area. Almost all the of them with flood damage.
It seems like some used dealers go to flood prone areas around the country and buy them up to resell them where they’re in high demand. So shady.

If my physical body and my vehicle were valued the same, sure. But they aren't. And it isn't close.

Also, if I could perform my own surgeries in the event of a problem, maybe it becomes more equal. But I can't. If something breaks on my truck, I can (and do) fix it myself for a fraction of the cost of letting someone else do it.

    To each their own, though...

Def. outside the norm. My 2013 has 104,000 miles of light wheeling, hard city traffic, and a lot of beach / sand driving. Only replaced 1 ball joint, serpentine belt, and brakes. My rear leafs squeak but that's to be expected w/ an AAL and a ton of weight in the back.

I am not understanding how all those issues showed up in such short mileage and none were seen by the inspections that took place prior to purchase. Something does not smell right. Upper and lower ball joints at 60K miles?
