This morning (i just noticed this) I turned on my truck (in the garage) and as soon as i turned it on, i switched into reverse and then the revs went low and then like a lurch back and a lean like thing towards the drivers side. it does it all at the same time.

    1) turn truck on
    2) while it was still in high idle, switched to reverse
    3) lurch back and dip/lean on drivers side ( i feel it the most on the drivers side)
    4) low idle
    5) rides and drives like any other Tacoma after that

I think that's normal. Mine does it too.

Small lean (from all of the massive torque of the engine no less). Audible change in RPM from being in Park and going to reverse.

Never had that happen I think but you guys should let ur trucks warm up or rev down before shifting

LOL, this is normal...you have a high idle going and put it in reverse - the dipping is caused by the torque of the motor wanting to move the truck :)

    Absolutely normal.

It sure sounds like the rear brake drum is frozen. Happens ocassionally to me, particularly when its been raining and then the temp drops, when I am in the far north. It happens with my Taco and also happened with my previous Subie and Audi even though they are all disc brakes. Just my guess.

My truck did it this morning. It was in the garage all night and well above freezing in there. I seem to notice it whenever the brakes were wet and I parked the night before. Nothing to worry about...I hope :)
