I would get the 884s ya they will work with the 5100s. I just bought another set of 5100s yesterday for my brothers truck from essex. Seems like the easiest and cheapest way to get them without hassle of border fees and stuff. You need the spacer added though and Im not sure the best place to buy it, another member on here had one kicking around and offered it to me for my brothers kit so I didnt buy it. I bought mine a while back from toytec but shipping and stuff makes it a pain in the ass. Contact headstrong, she has them for 23 bucks I think and might be able to ship it cheap

the AAL i got also said it was for a samari or something dumb but it also works for the Tacoma. It was a "trail gear" brand I think, I'll look it up. I have a Deaver one now but thats the one I split in half so I am trying something else

I just called 4wheel parts in Fredericton. They said the 884's aren't listed for the Tacoma, just the 885 and 886 I think he said. But we all know the 884's will fit. He said that you don't really need the coils, just use the stock coils would be fine as long as they are good. But he said they have the 884's for $236 for the pair.
Thier price for the bilstien 5100's was a bit cheaper too. $148 ea for the fronts, and $108ea for the rears.
Didn't really say if they had spacers, said I shouldn't need any. And the same aal you had the link up for were $42.99 ea.
I think the quote for everything total was $987 taxes in. And $1100 shipped to my door.
He did say maybe UCA's could be required for alignment issues, but maybe not.
Also said if the cam bolts are bad, and you have to wreck the control arm bushings to get them out, (which is common apparently in this climate) then that's an extra big cost in parts and labour wherever you get it done.
This is sounding like a bigger headache than it's worth maybe.

Nice wish I got the shocks there too. Maybe I'll call and ask. Ya your should need an alignment if your only 2.25-2.5. I am just over 2.5 now and it's OK, not great but good enough

What was the AAL too? Are you sure it was the right one? I looked at a 42 dollar one too and for some reason didn't get it I forget why

Pretty sure he said they were trail gear, $42.99 each, $85.98 for both. I also thought he said they would.be the 3rd leaf down.

    *Not lifted myself*
But I would think the hassle now would be worth it in the end, because you are confronted with breaking those rusted nuts and bolts free, replacing old/cracked/worn out bushings. Doing it now might also make further work down the line a little less of a pita.

    On another note:
Anyone in NS/Canada do the Diff breather mod? I bought the extension hose the other day at CT, all fine and dandy. Then I called up O'reagan's to order the breather nipple and Diff nipple (using part numbers I seen from the Diff mod thread) but they said the numbers were incorrect. They ordered them anyways to see what shows up. [Will update with the picture of the part numbers here shortly]

So has anyone have a place local/online where I can get these last two pieces to the puzzle?

I talked to a guy named Cody. So I know I would need an alignment, but with 5100's and 884's, the alignment shouldn't be horrible, you think? Horrible enough to warrant $660 worth of UCA's? You leave the shocks at 0, with the 884's it sounds like it should only be a couple inches higher I think. The AAL ads what 1.5"?

The thing you ordered from Toyota should be a gas ling union from a Camry.

You can use a number of different things for your breather. There are the little check valve breather thingies with a barbed end you can use. I imagine you can get them at parts stores.

You can always wait on the UCA's and get them after if you have a problem with your alignment.

I would try without the UCAs myself, I had them before and didnt like them and the ball joints blew too quick. Mine is suppose to be about 2.5" lift but is a bit higher when you measure and I dont really need them with it

just cancelled the essex order and got them for a bit cheaper at 4wheelparts. Sweet good find!
Probably a good thing too because they were out of stock and had to wait a week or so
