I'm heading out in the morning to test fit a cap for the truck that I found on kijiji. Might be too long, might be able to make it work.

Then, I will be selling my motorcycle in the evening... mixed emotions on letting it go. I had fun with it, but cash could buy nice things for the truck. :anonymous:

Wow, that's a big deal letting go of the bike. Can't wait to hear what it buys for the truck!

I might wake up in the morning and decide to swap my current 883 springs and stock UCAs for the 885s and LR UCAs that are sitting in the shed.

Also, we should be talking about another coffee. Or a trail.

I vote for the trail! but I still don't have a good recovery point in the front, must fix that ASAP, I wish there was a CDN retailer I could buy from, I wanted to make the part myself, but right now I don't have the time, and would rather throw money at the problem. Also good work with the bolt. I was going to suggest the same thing with the file.

While I would not discourage you from upgrading your front tow point, I am sure you will be fine running the stock point for now... so no excuses!

Looks like I will be doing brake lines (extended in rear), coils and UCAs on Saturday. Leafs get re-arched and a helper added next week on Wednesday.

I have run the factory front recovery points to date with no issues. And I've been yanked a time or two if you... know what I mean ;)

And yeah, totally had to use the recovery points in the front.

Getting ready to have my leafs upgraded Wednesday.

What are folks recommending these days for shocks for a 3+ inch lift? I would have got 5125s but they seem to be out of stock everywhere.

How much brake fluid will I need to replace what I'll loose when I install the extended brake lines?

    Thanks,

That's too bad. I dont think I could ever sell mine. (without buying another)
dont have an answer for the shocks but the brake fluid loss will be minimal. If you buy one of those little $5 containers from Canadian Tire or Walmart, etc it will be more than enough.

Okay, I saw this truck again as I was stocking up for this weekend's camping trip. We were in the parking lot by the Sobey's in Cole Harbour. I jumped out and said hi, nice truck. Never know, might see him here.

Seen this cap pop up on Kijiji earlier this week. Knowing how scarce caps show up that are actually designed for the tacoma, I had to jump on it, and I believe it is worth the $500 any day of the week!
(Leer quoted me $2,400+tx for the same setup)

Leer 180 Mid Rise, Basic side windows, Thule tracks on top

Now I can move forward with my plan of creating a sleeping platform for the bed!
