@Canoehead Did you know that our generation trucks currently have a service bulletin for our U-joints on the drive-shafts? Something to look into, they might reimburse you for the cost of the replacement you bought?

Spicer makes the Toyota driveshafts, the carrier bearing says Spicer on one side and Toyota on the other. Way cheaper in the Spicer box though.

Thanks for bringing this up. I did get the warranty extension letter. Honestly, I do not know that I need to do the u-joints done, but I figured since I am doing the carrier bearing I might as well be prepared for the whole deal. Through Rockauto the shipping for all four pieces was the same as just the CB, and the price on the u-joint was really good. With an extra leaf I am not sure that Toyota would take care of the u-joints if they turn out to be bad. Also, I like to do the work myself and I learn a lot about the truck that way so it is probably worth the price of the u-joints to me anyway. They do have 160k on them after all.

So, depending on what I find for the u-joints when I pull the shaft next week, I might have a set of u-joints on the shelf if anyone needs them. No question about the CB though, it's done in!

I'm stuck at work having the worst day I've had in a long time.

So disorganized and things keep breaking. Not a pleasant Mitch right now.

    Wednesday then.

If we stick with Cole Harbour - Forest Hills Tim's I can be there for 9:00?

Think I'm going camping later this week... time to test the new bunks in the trailer.
