I'm learning of a bunch of new trials. Fahrenheit brought up another forum just for NS a little while ago and I joined and have been trying to get involved. They seem like a pretty cool group! Www.backcountry4x4club.ca I think

I gotta get a clutch in and tires on before I even think about a trail run. Hopefully the clutch will be here soon and I can throw it in next weekend. I got 5 days off in a row so I'll be able to get my flywheel machined and not have to wait, which works out well. If I manage to find the ambition I'll start my rims next week too.

I have to get some Rust-Oleum Professional flat black and self etching primer, home hardware doesn't have it ( at least not locally), I think home depot might.... I'm not going all out on a paint job for it, there's no point, at least this way touch ups are easy

I need to replace a front strut but I'm in no hurry. Doesn't seem to be too bad

Pretty sure they have all of that at Canadian tire. Especially the Dartmouth Crossing location. They have all sorts of paint, but that self etching primer is crazy expensive.

In Dartmouth Crossing they would, but the CTs here in the valley don't have it. I checked online, Home Depot does carry it, and that primer is like $8-9 a can, but very worth it. I'm alright dishing out $70-$100 worth on rattle cans, from the thread on painting sliders, it dries even and looks great.

$8-9 a can? That's not bad. The self etecher around the city (that I could find) was more like $15-20 a can. Crazy expensive

$100 bucks isnt too bad. Compared to getting it powdercoated.

That was kind of my thoughts about it. I think Satin said powder coating was like +$250, I highly doubt it'd have made the trip across the country unharmed, plus trying to find someone here to fix it, and keep fixing it after it was scraped enough to justify redoing it.... shake the can and fix it myself ;)

Found a slip on the door! Clutch should be here tomorrow, and I'll start ripping the tranny out Wednesday next week. Anyone off Thursday next week? I'll need a drive($) to the machine shop to get my flywheel machined. Hard to drive the truck with no tranny.
