I learned about it when we were looking for our house. Are you in a rush to learn more?

There's a house we really like, however it has Kitec piping on at least the HWBB, I need to double check the rest of the water lines, they weren't orange so I assumed they weren't.

I think we're going to negotiate replacing the pipes into the price and then I'll go through and replace them.

It's worth taking a closer look at the pipe. You are no doubt aware of the history of failure and the class action lawsuit. There is a lot of pipe out there with no problems, this house could be in the clear. Some of these issues get blown out of proportion.

I can't figure out how to tell if it's the good stuff or bad stuff. The house was built in 2003, so I'm assuming it's the bad stuff.

I'd like to replace t regardless.

Side note, does anyone have any solid body electric guitars they dont use anymore? Recently found out refinishing them is fun and fairly cheap

Anybody know if the trails from porters lake to the air port are clear ?

I remember back in somewhere in between 04-06 few of us tried it with the ATVs but couldn’t make it all the way do to the trail being covered with trees

I hadn’t attempted it since I was 17 not even sure if I could even remember where It started

Question for the masses. Fox 2.0 Reservoir rear shocks, or Bilstein 5160 rear shocks. The front of these trucks seems to deal with the crap I put them threw for now, but the rear end gets a little too squirrely right now. Also, if I buy in spurts the 2k+ hit to the wallet will seem less painful.

BC4x4 ran them awhile ago, last year sometime. Only way to know for sure is to run it! I would bring a chain saw and other assorted clearing gear.

As of right now I am running the stock TSB leafs. Was thinking some OME progressive leafs in the rear as I have never heard anything good about add a leafs. From what I can tell I should be able to run the better shocks without a lift until I get around to lifting.

Keep an eye on the minimum compressed length, don't want to bottom out the new shocks before the stock springs reach full compression. That you can probably manage by avoiding rough terrain. As for the remote reservoir shocks, while I'll be the last person to stand in your way, I would bet you will find that your spring upgrade will be where you see the difference for your dollar. Remote reservoir does have an unmatchable LCF.

When I replaced my rear shocks (because the stock ones had blown) I didn't get the longer travel 5100's. I regret that, since the next thing I did was throw on a helper spring.

If I ever get around to doing 63's I'll probably do 5160's and do custom mounts or something. Like you said, you have to mind your travel, compression and full droop.

On another note, when's the next coffee meet?

    Works for me!

We're viewing a house tomorrow at 2:30 so any time after that works great!

I think we may have found the one though!

    sweet!
i'll try to be there as well.

@MoonKnight speaking of the porters lake/airport... if that's do-able stock ( AKA I wont beat the snot out of the truck ) we should try to make it a run. ( heck even if I can't go you guys should make a run of it anyway )

was a passenger in a jeep run that did it years ago, the only part that has me worried was the water crossing, a stock tj got beat around pretty good crossing the water.

Public service announcement on the water crossings... environmental regulations prohibit crossing moving water and sometimes there are Enforcement Officials who happen to be on duty near the water crossings.... I am led to understand the fines are very steep.
