re-installed the CB Radio on the weekend, involved taking out the drivers seat...... I make things too complicated sometimes.
but, its decent, ran the wire from the back of the tailgate, snaked it through the rear tail light, along the frame following some other wires, and up through a grommet below the drivers seat. from there I was trying to do a center console thing, but kinda ran out of Coax ( 18'!) I seen this one slick install where the mic connector was in one of the little blank switch blocks under the radio, looked reeeeallly good. but ran out of wire and time. Instead I just zip tied it to the bottom of the seat springs
now I have super easy access to the line out feature, and the mic connection ( I have the Cobra wx 75 st )

while I had things torn apart, I also snaked my front camera wires up to the front of the grille, re-arranged my light bar button, and Fog light button to better locations, and left a big gaping hold in the firewall to assist in installing the brake controller.

she was a big weekend, trying to juggle that and the kids just about broke me, but hey, Sh*t's gotta get done right?

With all this wiring talk, Princess auto has on wicked sale 12ga wire in lots of different colors this week. ( $20 down to $9 ) so if you got a project in mind that needs wires, now's a good time. I'm going tomorrow to nab some.

It's weird you ran out of wire, my coax is 18' and our antennas are in roughly the same area. I had tons to spare, and I went up through the grommet in the tunnel under the cup holders.

it must really suck to be a Fed EX Driver ...to have to drive a truck that can only reach the max speed of 50KmPH < if my Math is correct I get this Calculation from must highway speeds are 100 KM- 110 KM depending where you are most of the 100 speed limit is worstcase Ontario and Quebec and if it takes fed ex to travel 13 hours only to have moved 7 hours on the map

No I don't know how fed ex works but I'm following my package and for a lot of the travel it says in transit in say Woodbridge Ontario @ 10:00 pm then it says in transit in lyster qc at 10:am the distance between Woodbridge and Quebec is 7 hours but the tracking pages says it's been 13 hours
    IMG_0047.jpg
If it's saying it was in lyster Quebec at 10am I'm thinking I should of had it today because
    IMG_0048.jpg
    Or at least tomorrow

Fed ex had already updated the date from getting Monday the 29th to now I should receive it Friday the 25th

On a more positive note I had taking Friday off so I could stay home and wait for it to arrive

But if it takes fed ex 13 hours to travel 5 hours then I don't think I'm getting it Friday

I’m undecided on bed lining the bumper or leaving it flat black I need to put one more can a paint on it and my plan was to top it off with bedliner

But I think it looks pretty decent flat black

I would leave it with just the paint, now that you have paint on it already. The bedliner will only stay on if the paint will stay on kind of deal (usually the bedliner would be applied to bare steel) Run the paint for a while and see how well it holds up, if it doesn't fare well get it blasted for cheap and bedline it yourself.

How much did the bumper winch combo end up running you?

Roughly 1700 bumper 870 winch 7something I cant remember and I can’t find the paper work winch would have been 65 dollars cheaper but I kind of talked into the 4wheelparts xtreme warranty said it would cover the synthetic rope then he said replacement line would run me like 400 so I figured may as well

Then paint and bed liner , wax grease remover around 60

I had watched a video bleeping Jeep guy bed lined his tundra and he had to cut up a rust spots and weld in bare metel and he said in order to bedline it he had to paint the bare metel spots so the line would stick so that’s why I figured I had to spray paint the bumper 1st

Question is a spacer level kit a body lift or suspension lift?

Us off-road bumper won’t fit with a body lift it would have to be a suspension lift and I’m starting to think the bumper is pretty heavy and so is the winch I’m thinking it’s going to droop The front and give me taco lean and I want to level it out

Whats the difference between the non-comp. and comp. series?

And I guess if you properly prep and prime the metal than the bedliner will have a good base, I was just thinking of some times when I painted steel and it would chip off easily like it didn't take hold to the steel (Admittedly I didn't use primer in those cases, now I do)

I’m not really sure I think it might be Gen 1 and Gen 2 or steel cable or synthetic rope

I wanted to know for myself

It’s steel cable non comp vs synthetic rope comp

I heard somewhere else if you get the non comp and put synthetic rope on it the winch will burn the rope off I’ve heard steel cable winches get hotter then ones that run synthetic line not sure how true this is

It depends on the braking system.
Spacer/leveling kits are usually suspension lifts. You have to be careful with them though, you can bottom out the shock before the bumpstop and break the shock.

I don’t think I’ll need after all I’m in the process of putting it the bumper on I stood on the buttom of the frame bar and the truck didn’t move if my fat ass can stand on and it didn’t move with 250 pounds then I don’t think 150 pounds is gonna budget it either

I got so far then realized I need to cut off the factory tow ring thing on the driver side I’m waiting for a friend to get back from Moncton so I can borrow his angle grinder and cut the thing off
