I'm averaging 15L/100km corrected for 31" tires. V6 Stick shift. She's a thirsty ole girl. When the engine finally gives up the ghost I am seriously considering a Cummins R2.8 Diesel.

I am interested to hear why you have chosen the R2.8. Have you looked into the swap in detail?

9k gets you an engine and everything needed to run the engine. Just need to fabricobble together engine cooling, mounts, fuel, exhaust and transmission. All of which I would need to do on any engine swap so no added difficulty. It is a 500lb engine fully dressed, so not a whole lot heavier than a 1GR-FE. Horsepower is about the same as the 4 cylinder, but torque of the V6. I have no doubts that the engine could safely produce 200+hp with ease, and all the grunt to go with it. Cummins has been doing diesel forever so it should be reliable as a Toyota motor. Lastly the Toyota motors are not supported in NA. Obviously it is more difficult than just typing some stuff out on the internet, but as far as diesel engines go I think it is the best option in NA if you don't want to go for a worn out Mercedes/ VW motor, or a heavy older truck diesel. Importing a 1KD would be awesome, but the cost ends up being the same, and you lack support.

So only downside I can see is it being slow (I have a motorcycle for fast) and it would be about a 12-15K swap.

Only other engine I would consider right now would be the 1UZ-FE. Same weight as the 1GR, but more power.

    All of them

one of them being mine ha ha
there is a sweet black one with center loops only on the bumper
there's a blue one just off miramichi road that I pass every time I head to the beer store and has a really nice stance. Cant tell if its offset or spacers. I try parking next to the tacos haha.

Also theres a jeep guy who loves hitting the trails, one is right by charters settlement, so if youre ever up for a run let me know. I only ripped off a mud flap and bent my trailer plug the last time we ran .
