I love Keji, but damn it is hard to book. Fundy was pretty decent.

havent been to fundy in about 10 years.
Hopefully next year we'll see lots more camping. This year my goal was to get out 3x in the camper, two down, one to go end of this month.

My wife is already telling me that we're going back to Keji next year with friends of ours who have 3 kids which should be awesome since kids keep other kids entertained :)
@Canoehead, Want to be kept in the loop?
I'm assuming the non kid folks don't want to listen to my kids for 3 + days ( but if you do, I can keep you in the loop as well )

I love Keji, and have learned to ignore children very well. I would be interested.

Show me what you are looking for. I'm sure I can whip something up cheaper especially if the metal is already in stock

Although we don't have the right bending brakes for 3/8", that's some thick metal!

As long as I can pass them off as "steps" to appease the wife, I would love to have some sliders. Explaining the true purpose of them might land me in the dog house.

I can get the metal and cut them but I would need to have them bent somewhere. Which as long as you know someone who has a brake it's simple and quick. Let me kick around the shop this week and look at some metal that's in stock. Not even sure what thickness? I'll doubt check the plasma table and see what thickness it can cut. I usually only cut 24-26 ga lol

I wouldn't go any thicker than 3/8". Even 1/4 would probably be plenty of material. Don't want to add an excessive amount of weight to the truck.

I would say 1/4 is fine. I have worked with metal for 13 years now and never once needed to use 3/8" plate for something close to that lol. Only at the Shipyard on the ships but still sometimes not even that think. 3/16" aluminum is what I used for my atv and it worked amazing

My sliders are welded on, I made little pads for each supporty thingy and I made them out of 1/8th or 3/16ths I can't remember.

I am making steps that happen to be placed very close to the body and are strong enough to support the truck...
