There was some serious water flowing around my house today.... It was actually disgusting and terrifying.

My sump pump has been on the go most of the day (cycling on and off as it should) and I can hear the water chugging under the stairs in the little cubby around the door well in the basement.... Fuck sakes...

On another note, after a failed attempt to fix the boiler, I've decided I'm just going to scrap it.

Is anyone interested in the No.2 oil I have? I have approx. 750 liters. Plus a fancy double wall fiberglass tank (that will obviously have to be emptied before it can be moved). I'm not sure what year it was built/installed. I can find out for sure. It's been inside all it's life.

Or... Maybe I could make it a waste oil tank and just get a waste oil truck to come to the house once every 6 years to collect the oil

    wow!
    oil eh?
I may know some one who burns it......:spy:

too bad you don't have a diesel.

sucky about the boiler, and the water. Hopefully the sump keeps doing what it does. My childhood house was the same way, had to have a sump or we'd be swimming in the basement. The house i'm in now does not have a sump, but boy did I wish we did about 4 years ago christmas ( that massive thaw that dumped 50mm of rain ) that flooded my basement. Ever since then I've been mitigating the chances of that happening again. Crack filler, early warning systems, lots of expanding foam ect..

It started leaking and I broke a bunch of studs off. I'm getting a heat pump in January, the boiler is 42 years old so its about time the thing was put to rest anyhow. I'm installing a hot water heater over the next couple days between family gatherings and stuff.

If I had known you owned a company I would have asked for a quote!

anyone change out a oil pressure sensor on the 2tr?... Mine decided to leak badly today :frusty:
I tried to get a wrench on it today, but being grumpy that my Taco was making puddles like a new puppy, and being cold did not help. I can't quite figure out how to reach in.

I think if I take the passenger tire off, I **May** get my wrench on it. Also I need goop on the threads? Thanks @Canoehead for offering your goop, I'll see what the parts counter has tomorrow, and may be giving you a call.

    taco's all fixed.
I threw Money at the problem and had Toyota Dartmouth do it. The fix was just shy of $200, $70 for the part, and $100 for the work. Good crew, squeezed me in with no appointment on Thursday the 27th.

while it was there they noticed I had a few outstanding recalls
    1) re-shape the gas pedal
    2) Frame insp
    3) TSB Leaf springs.

    1) the reshape was "shaving" off the bottom of the pedal, and re-programming the Computer - could just be me, but truck feels more responsive on the highway now, curious to see if fuel economy chnages after a few tanks, this has no doubt nothing to do with the pedal and everything to do with the re-flash

    2) Frame came back A-OK. I figured as much seeing as how its undercoated with Krown/rustcheck frequently, I declined the Toyota Wax stuff. ( I have until summer 2020 to "schedule" my undercoating if I desire )

    3) TSB Leafs, not much to say here except that they were 100% free, new hardware, and they let me keep the old ones ( just paid $400 to have a cracked leaf on the passenger side replaced, and replaced the same leaf on the drives side so they matched ) - Anyone need some factory leafs for cheap?

The gas pedal thing was a mistake. You enjoy being able to heel toe on a down shift? Well not anymore, brake application overrides the gas. I want to get rid of it on my truck as A; I like being able to heel toe, and B; burnouts are awesome.

    But awesome on everything else.

If you decide to opt out of their wax coating stuff, do you not qualify for a new frame then? Is that how it works?

A heavy, very awkward transmission at that! It was a great day regardless!
