Valley Taco run sometime then? I've been exploring the Cloud lake area, as well as the area around crystal falls.

I'm actually a civilian working on the simulators so I'm not on a crew but I see all of the CP140 crews all the time. I work on the OMS and PCT mainly but the FFS and CPT occasionally too.

I just remembered you mentioned I should get sliders but mine actually has some that came on it. I think they're factory so probably not the most robust but I'll go with these until I ruin them...

If they are the factory steprails take a look under them to see what they are made of. Most of the ones I've seen will buckle if you get high centered, and if it's really bad they can even bend up so far you can't open your doors. Not that you would get hung up like that of course!

Got my new upper A-arms in, Rides much nicer and has a less "top-heavy" feel to it. The bolt-in upper ball-joint is a huge plus aswell. My only complaint is the bolts for the upper ball-joints, they seem very weak and use Nylon lock nuts without any washers.... I'll pick up some Grade 8 hardware tomorrow with washers, lock washers, and lock nuts for that extra piece of mind. lol

Sorry if my constant pictures annoy anyone, I'm a bit of a photo-nut lol.

I personally wouldn't bother putting lock washers under anything. I don't find that they actually do anything. Considering my BMW had nyloc nuts on all 4 ball joints and I never had any issues with them coming lose. The only time the nylocs are an issues is in a heat environment. Question on them though, is all the hardware metric, or did JBA install stuff with dirty ole imperial crap?

I believe they're Imperial grade 5 bolts looking at the head of them, No numbers just the three lines on top. they were kinda loose when I first put them on and while I was snugging them down they felt like they were going to snap just from a 3/8th ratchet.

Curious to hear a review once you've had them for a bit. I've been thinking of finally breaking down and getting a set myself.

If you don't mind, what did they end up running you ballpark with shipping, around $700?

I'll be sure to chime in here with a reveiw, I'm taking my truck to Toronto next month, so that'll be a good road-test for them lol.

And you hit the price pretty much right on the head, it ended up coming to $694 to my door here in cape breton.

    Lock washers suck.

There are lock nuts that don't use the nylon too, I don't know if they have a specific name, but Toyota uses them on exhaust manifolds.

I would be up for a group run. When and where? I might try to get out after some bunnies this weekend.

I really need to get better at checking in on this forum lol.

I've been productive. Diff breather relocated up into the bed storage thing. Don't know why I didn't do it sooner. I just used 1/8th barbs from the hardware store to run some 1/4 fuel hose up to them. No sense in over complicating it. Cleaned out the breather so it is actually working now too. Dropped the driveshaft CSB down .200" which seems to have lessened some of the vibrations in the truck.

Still lacking a garage, so my will to pull the front end apart and do the front needle bearing and lower control arm bushings and adjusting cam bolts is rather lacking in this cold nonsense.
