There are better ways to piss away money, like drinking beer. High octane gas is only required for high compression engines. If your manual doesn't call for it, it will do absolutely nothing.

There is no 'energy' difference between 87 and 91 octane, only the ignition point regarding pressure. 87 will knock at high compressions, say with a super or turbo charger.

Weathertech floor mats, CaliRaisedLED 30" bumper light bar, CaliRaisedLED Ditch Lights - yet to be installed, CaliRaisedLED 52" Light Bar - not sure if I'm going to install...
I owned a Lexus for about 10 years and it wanted supreme so I got used to it and plan to keep using it. I'm not worried about a couple dollars per fillup... And most of the gas stations around here use 10% ethanol unless you buy supreme so I usually go with supreme just to avoid the methanol... not that it really matters, I just prefer to buy 'the good stuff' lol

Octane ratings are like oil preferences. The arguments will go on till the end of the internal combustion engine. 87 wont hurt, and neither will 91. The only advantage as stated is the lack of dirty Ethanol in the fuel when running 91 Octane.

did they give you new weatherstripping around the window ( not sure what its call
I really have to drop my headliner to be sure i'm not rusting up by my little leak. Good to know this can be a sub $500 thing!
I've missed so much in this thread! Just when I think I've figured out how TW does their notifications, I end up missing a weeks worth of shenanigans!

stay tuned for some welding pics tonight :welder: someone's gotten off their lazy ass and has been crossing things off the "honey doo" list so he can work on some sliders.....

I looked at that pic a long time, trying to figure out how those sliders go on a tacoma, and what they would look like... reading is good.

Dont worry, this side project is almost done. Then its tube bender time, THEN its slider time.

I hope the tube bender won't be more than a week's worth of evenings to finish, that is if the weather stops being -12. My little patio heater can only do so much in my poorly insulated garage ( First world problems I know... )

Looking forward to seeing that tube bender, been playing with different ideas of how to build a multi purpose bender/brake myself.

Well, since my power bill made me crap my pants after keeping the garage at a solid 7dC, I decided to turn the heat off up there unless I'm working up there!

But yes, it's nice and safe :D
