Why wouldn't you just weld the flywheel to the HF output shaft so you could still have a clutch? Why am I even thinking about this?!? ... Do princess auto sell motors?

I really want to get together, though I don't seem to be any help in making it happen.

I'm working Wednesday evening, but should get off around 8, so I might be able to catch you all if it's coffee somewhere. Also, I am planning to take a run into the woods on Saturday with the kids for a campfire if anyone's in. That last plan depends somewhat on whether I get a delivery I might be expecting mid-week.

I did another run out south this past Sunday morning. Went from The West Dalhousie Road out the Heartland Road or Thorne Road depending on whether you look at Google Earth or Bing maps... Continued until it met up with the Mersey Road and then went straight to the #8 highway... A good run, went in the ditch at one point and realized that crawl control does not work at all in the snow... And it sounds terrible when its doing its thing as well! But yeah, took me about 15 mins to work my way out but it was definitely a fun run! Went with my buddy who has a 2018 OR and we had a blast. If anyone wants to do a run down this way hit me up, I'm down for going pretty much any weekend!

    We sure did!
it was low key, but that did not stop me from hitting my hitch off a rock. If I had fillings, I'm sure they would have fallen out!

What I'm really excited about was now we have 2 new locations to zip around in that are pretty close.

I'm up for Coffee tonight, @TacoMitch93 if you could please bring my socket set, I'll buy you some coffee

Anyone else up for some Coffee tonight?
typically 9pm at the timmies on Forrest Hill's parkway beside the Canadian Tire.
pretty low key, we show up, talk about trucks, camping, guns and other nonsense. Lasts about an hour, hour and a half.

    that's awesome,
I have a friend who lives off the west Dalhousie Rd. I'd always wonder where those side roads would take me. that was back in my hatchback. Since I've had the truck I haven't been out there, He's always comes to me. ( traveling Dog Trainer ) he had a small hobby farm that was fun to visit. Pigs, Ducks, Chickens. You never knew what he'd have, but it was always fun. oh, and we shot his gun too :) never a dull day.

I love the roads out that way but I've only ever done them on my 4 wheeler or since I got my truck at the beginning of the winter... I'm guessing in the spring they might be fun but I think in the summer they'll just basically be dirt roads... haven't had a lot of luck so far finding any real challenges that aren't too extreme I'll hurt my truck but I've been searching...

If you're ever down this way wanting to go do some exploring let me know, I'm usually down for an adventure :)

Just spent the past 3 weeks in Italy driving a 110hp single turbo diesel van that weighs more than our trucks do. I have never been more appreciative of the 4.0L gas motor in our trucks.

My brother in law has an older (90's) diesel Hilux. Not even kidding, if you are stopped halfway up a hill and want to get to the top you have to go back down and take a run at it or you'll be stick in first all the way up.

I've got no issue with a diesel motor when they have multiple turbos and are sized properly. I love the twin turbo V8 diesel in the Land Cruiser 200. That is the motor I would kill for in the Tacoma.

Anyone know a good source for bleeder screws on our trucks? NAPA wants to first see the M7x1.0x34 Bleeder screw before they will sell me one... the bleeder screw that is seized solid in the caliper. The bleeder screw I wouldn't want to be replacing if I wasn't going to destroy it getting it out.

I don't even know of any dirt roads around Halifax that I could check out. I know all of them around Digby, but not here in the city. I did some damage to my truck back in 2017. I was being stupid. So now I'm somewhat timid about leaving the pavement.

If you head out the 102 to Enfield there is a really nice 'trail' that goes down the power lines, I've never done it in my Taco but I've been down it a few times on my 4 wheeler and I loved it, was a great track, lots of rocky hill climbs, big water holes, mud, but if I remember correctly you could also go around anything you didn't want to try... Check out enfield (two exits before the airport if my memory serves me correctly) on google earth or Bing maps and you can see the power lines quite clearly, you just need to find a road you can get on them easily without pissing off a landowner, I used to know the perfect spot but its been over 10 years since my last visit so I can't remember exactly, all I can remember for sure is it was within 10 mins of the highway exit and we were on the trail... I've been wanting to do a trip up that way so if you decide to go let me know and I may take the trip up as well...

If you ever want to hit up trails in the valley let me know, I'm always down to go. I'm also interested in trails down digby way for sure, I just love exploring the woods and I haven't done it in a bunch of years until I got my taco in Oct so I'm loving being back at it. I also have a crapload of recovery gear with me at all times so we shouldn't have too many issues if we do go out :)
