Not taco related, but got this low res spy shot of a Delica in the parking lot at work. Looks like a cool rig, seemed like impressive clearance for a van.

Anyone else have any issues with their No 6 Cylinder fuel injector leaking? changed the oil today and smelled gas, checked spark plugs and number 6 cylinder smells of fuel so I am thinking leaking injector.

Those Delicas came out of an era when the Mitsubishi Pajero (sold in the US as Montero) ruled the Dakar rally so it's no surprise they have some serious underpinnings.

do you need to save them?
if not, then hammer and penetrating lube.

also I believe they have holes for threaded bolts in them. the idea being you thread in the bolts and the bolts push off the rotors. but the hammer trick works for me.

Hit, rotate, hit, rotate, hit ect.... eventually it comes off.

I stand corrected, I'm thinking of Drum's that have the two screw holes.

but I did found a youtube vid that should work if the BFH fails.

and when you put back on, Antiseize for next time :)

Don't be surprised if you crack them in half!

Make sure you're wearing proper PPE too ;)

I think I also have leaky injectors..

I'm not 100 percent sure, but is your EGR routed into the 6th cylinder? I know it is on the 7m/jz's, and the 1uz recircs to the back of the manifold feeding mostly 7 and 8.

Those are pretty neat, I was thinking of one of these before the Taco fell into my lap.

Success! One down, one to go. Doing sway bar links too, had to stop to check hex size - 6mm seems too big, 7/32 is too small..

Lol re ppe - I'm beating on the rotor earlier and it occurs to me, I have gloves and safety glasses on ... And bare feet. Takes a step back, keeps beating on rotor :D

    Job done :)

Drivers side rotor looked ok on the front but the back side was like the dark side of the moon, pad was down to bare metal..
    20190826_171036.jpg
That's the back pad on the left, front pad on the right.

    Nice work

I bet the new pads & rotors feel night and day to the old ones.
what brand did you end up going with? and where did you get them?

    Sad news :(

Princess Auto Stopped selling loose nuts & bolts, as well as Welding wire ( ground wire ) cut to length. They only have baggies of the nuts & bolts, as well as pre-packaged welding wire for $100

    ugh!

I'm going to try calling up some welding supply stores in HRM to see who sells 2/4 ga wire by the foot.

**edit** I should have said that I tried Home Depot, but the one in clayton park does not carry that thick of wire

How much 2 and 4 AWG wire do you need? I might be able to cover you.

I only need enough to go from the battery to my Fuse Panel, Max 3' ( more then likely only 1' )

You know, I just thought of something, Car Audio can get pretty nutty with power requirements, I wonder if Atlantic Car Stereo on main St has big gauge, and sells by the foot.....

Yessir. Everyone says tacos have bad brakes so I thought mine were normal but but just driving back from breaking in the new ones they felt so much better! I got power stop pads from rock auto but couldn't find a shipping combination that worked for the rotors so picked those up from Partsource in Sackville (closest parts place to my work and they stock mt90 so they must be legit).
$35 for the pads https://www.rockauto.com/en/moreinfo.php?pk=3957579&cc=1432865 and $60 some each for the rotors (rock auto had rotors way cheaper or pad and rotor sets for even less but shipping killed it)
