I had a '69 ford cortina once that I crashed into a bull (long story) - couldn't get parts so I junked it and I've always regretted that.

Not that the cortina was a super desirable ride but it was a classic and chicks dug it :)

It took me so long to get this truck and to only have it for 3 years
If I can’t get the parts I need which only being cosmetic then I’ll most likely part it out
I’m gonna take it all apart this weekend and figure out if I can save these parts or if I am forced to change them

    have you checked out car-part.com?
I just did a search on Fender, and found some in the Fredericton / Saint-John area in junk yards.

    NP,
I've been using them looking for AC compressor pumps. I seen a few articles / youtubes on converting them to On board air setups when I was all jelly over @Canoehead ARB OBA setup.

The biggest PIA with the AC compressor as a OBA compressor is the fact that its not technically a closed system, and those swasher pumps need a good amount of oil.

Let me see if I can find the article, sounds like folks are just jamming the grease in there and crossing their fingers. With the electro clutch, it only runs for short times..... Wanna discuss over coffee? or some Pew Pew's?:fenforcer:

I have very little free time until after Christmas! Would have to be a Monday or Friday evening, but I'm game for coffee!

Hey guys, I'm new to TW, not so new to NS... I usually get work done at the shop near work here in Halifax but I've got so many issues (power steering, brakes, exhaust) flaring up suddenly I'd really like to take my Tacoma to someone who knows these trucks fairly well.. Any shops do Toyota around here like the Old Volks Home does VW, or Jeff Dunsworth does Volvo..?

    Welcome!
would you like to try and do it yourself?

Myself and others have done brakes many times, we can definitely help out there.

what's up with the power steering?
Exhaust leaks? we talkin pin holes or big nasty leaks that give you headaches from driving it?

Wondering if any of my fellow Nova Scotians have been buying any OEM parts and accessories from Toyota Dealers south of the border.Which dealer do you use,any shipping issues..etc?The prices down there, including the exchange rate is very tempting.

If I need an OEM part, I generally use Toyota Parts Direct, but I've ordered stuff from the states and it came relatively close to the same price as buying it local.

you may have luck hunting around on the Buy and Sell part of this forum, there is a Canadian section.
I've had nothing but good experiences with buy from TW.com members.

if you had a part number, perhaps you could search TPD for that number.
