Those sliders look AMAZING!! Very jealous!!

Side note, anyone know of a retailer in the HRM that sells BF Goodrich tires? Chances are they're all being supplied from the same warehouse in NB, was just hoping on a whim someone would know of a place that HAS 315/75/16s, I'm having no luck in the Valley, and 4WP doesn't do Michelin coupons

Fusion360. I used solidworks in school years ago and seem to remember it being easier to use. Got the upper mounting flange mocked up at least. But I am trying to figure out what lower pan I want to attempt to use. I am thinking a Corolla lower steel pan from the 09-18 cars. I would of course physically need one in hand to properly CAD model the mounting flange for it.

If anyone here happens to have a Corolla with that oil pan sitting around and wants to take a few measurements off of it that would be awesome.

    Thanks,
Major Discount in Dartmouth can get any tire you want. but I doubt they would have that size in stock. My tires were shipped from Toronto, I had them in less then a week. Cheapie Tire is their sister company, also in dartmouth.
    Scooters Tire Barn *might*
who else..... how about Scotia Tire? they have a few shops in HRM usually have lots of tires.
    action truck caps?
"Parts for trucks" in Burnside might...
Cant really think of any more besides CDN tire.

What kind of work do you do right now? We are desperate for structural designers - basically CAD with a little bit of building science thrown in

I work for CGI as their IS-IT Coordinator for Atlantic Canada. I take new technologies / industry changes and help usher them into the Atlantic Region ( AKA, I sent lots of email, and help CGI implement new technology like MS Teams, or WiFI )

I wanted to be an electrical engineer, but my physics marks were not high enough :homer:

so I'm just an armchair CAD Designer / home electrical enthusiast / backyard fabricator / daydreamer kind of guy

Sneaky move sending me to your build thread under the guise of saving money, knowing full well I would come away wanting a full package of @D2 brand sliders and skids, and yes a bed rack too

20210303_163123.jpg This is what I'm thinking now - I started looking at what weight I could strip out of the kamp rite cot (to save on shipping) and realised I was reducing it to a tent. So then I started thinking why not just buy a tent that will fold flat and build my own frame. Pretty soon I'm going to be above the cost of the kamp rite and full shipping but I'm liking the idea.
    Screenshot_20210303-154641_Chrome.jpg

Awning frame could be fiberglass tent pole (or 1.75" tube ;) ) but I'm thinking an aluminum extrusion would be cool and could be extended all the way around to support a plywood/rigid foam floor.
Yeah, I've been home sick all day with too much time to think about this.
