    ha!

ya know, when I first got them I noticed the extra.... effort lets say.. that was required to get going. Now...pfft I don't even really notice around town.

highway is another story. and with all the armor I'm planning on running, she's gonna need a little mechanical advantage:mudding:

Agreed...alibaba is something I've never been able to pull the trigger on, but it is hard to ignore potential direct-from-manufacturer deals...

I feel like it's a crap shoot - you might get an oem "factory replica" or you might get an expectations vs reality prom dress. I also feel a little badly for the originators - my sister has friends in clothing design who have had their stuff outright ripped off by Chinese knock offs - but then that's the risk you take getting your stuff made there in the first place I guess. But then we the consumers force that issue by demanding lower prices so who's to blame?

That is the sad reality...there are a lot of things that are way overpriced and need that knock-off to make it accessible (eyeglass frames for example)

but for people who are just trying to design clothes and make a living selling them locally it's difficult to compete.

    Yup.

I figure buy local when you can and accept that your RTT or on board air doesn't need an ARB tag on it but if it doesn't and it leaks or breaks down when you need it then that's on you :p

That's a pretty impressive build thread, man! Your creativity is amazing! Especially with that homemade pipe bender!

On a side note, does anyone on here need any fender clips by chance? I ordered some and I don't need them, going a different route, I think they're $17 for the 50 clips, they're brand new

Hey @D2. are you looking to make some money off of selling sliders any time soon? I'd buy a set for my truck tomorrow ;) Plus I'm planning to buy skids this year as well.

    I think I am.
March Break is coming in about a week, so I'll work on figuring out my actual cost of materials, and then PM you & Fahrenheight to work out an acceptable cost for being guinea pigs ..... fitment testers 1 & 2.....

Just a thought, you should weld in some sort of Easter egg or letter punch an identifiable marking.

I would want a "hand made in Nova Scotia" imprinted on the skid plates I buy from you

maybe even CNC a Canadian flag somewhere....okay I might be getting ahead of a project that isnt mine...

Got the factory bumper skin off last night ( I know..... "big whoop..." ) but the important thing is that its now held on with minimal fasteners, so removal should be pretty quick for test fitting my bumper kit.

hopefully tonight yeilds me getting the factory crash bar off and actually tacking things up

@Canoehead If you come over tonight, could you bring your deutche connecting thingy's I realized last night I pretty much hard wired my light bar into my AUX fuse panel without making any disconnect points. I can buy the connectors from you, or if you can tell me what I need I can run to Jentronics and pick up stuff.

@D2. I plan to drop by. I will bring the crimper, and all the terminals I can find. I don't think I have any connector bodies. I do have terminals and bodies for Weatherpack, but my crimper is loaned out.
