I've been toying with getting the TRD Supercharger for months now. But I'm afraid I'll get laid off like the next day haha.

    I wish i could afford a super charger! I'd probably swap a v8 before I'd boost my 4banger

I cant justify a $4000 supercharger on my truck worth 8-10. Thats 50% of the value! I sure would love one though

Yeah see since my Tacoma was bought new in October I still feel like the value is there to spend that on it (or, at least I can justify it to myself that way).

On the other hand, I've so far survived two rounds of contractor purges, so I just know the day I spend the money I'll probably get cut. I've got that kind of luck.

Boost would be nice on the 2.7, especially with larger tires.
I couldn't justify the cost for my truck, although a supercharged 5-lugger with wider tires on steelies and some of the X-runner stiffening and suspension bits would be a pretty awesome sleeper :D

It turns out my ECU codes were just a bad O2 sensor... After owning an Audi, this truck is a joy to work on... Things are easy to get at, you don't have to twist your arm into funny shapes and there is room to fit your hands!

    Okay, I'm in!

I think this truck has a lot of street appeal, but I bought it to carry canoes down woods roads in the spring, so it's gonna have to get muddy and scraped! My Subaru Forester was just not up to it... and my mechanic will testify to that.

I think I need to start looking for some skid plates...

One of the good thing Toyota did with these trucks is have everything up above the frame. As long as you're not rock crawling and sliding the truck over stuff you're good! Most of the trails I've been down I don't bottom out very often. Especially now with the lift and 33's, cant wait to get ouuuuuut snow go awaaaay

Bullet Proof Fabricating has a deal on right now where you get a discount and a free front recovery point upgrade if you pre-order a skid plate. Would all come in under $300 after taxes and shipping. Any advice for me?

The stock recovery points are plenty strong anyhow. If our trucks didn't come with one it might be a different story! I would be more worried about covering the rest of the vitals rather than a new skid where there's already a skid!
