They're such nice driving cars. Its a shame every twat in the Valley drives a rusted, obnoxiously loud 1993 hatchback like they're flat out at the Nurburgring in downtown Kentville.

I would happily drive my 8th Gen Si over my Tacoma pretty much any day.

Parts finally showed up. With a 1 inch lift block in the rear what should my billies be set in the front to level it 1.75 ?

I am by no means an expert, but I reckon you will need them on the highest setting if you are using a block in the rear. I think the 1.75 setting would level if you left the rear stock.

You could measure front and back to determine your current rake. measure from hub centre to the fender if you want to compare vs other size wheels (your own truck with new wheels, other people's trucks, etc.) or just from the ground.

On a side note, blocks are hard on leaf springs and Tacoma leaf springs are notoriously weak....

This was my 2007 with 5100's at 1.75 up front and stock leafs in the back (if it helps at all):

I can't figure out why it would fail other than its not OE. You can have links gone and it still pass. I guess I'll find out when the time comes!

The Auto club has a real one, it's in Windsor Park. I'll be down there on Saturday. Let me know if you want to try to work that out. There are rules about having to be a member to have your car worked on, but I don't see any problems. It would be good for me to see it done, I just ordered coils and will want to install them in the not too distant future.

Blocks create a mechanical advantage for the torque of the axle wanting to spin, against the leafs.

It increases the moment arm. That's why everyone with a tacoma should get new leafs....

I just live around the corner. I would take them out before going and would only be in there for 5 minutes adjusting the clip, not much to see haha

Is it a real one like the big wall mounted style? I don't trust the small threaded rod style.

My step father is military, he asked if I wanted in but I wouldn't go there enough. 99% of things I can do myself.

Yeah, that's why I don't have a membership, if I didn't have access to torches or a welder I would though!

I just ran in tonight to drop off some used oil, and honestly didn't look too closely... just asked the guys there. They said it is the full size machine.

I only just joined the club and haven't done anything more there than dump old oil, you all know more about it than I do!

I'll give you my cell number and we can set it up.

Dad just takes it to work and dumps it there. He has big jugs for used oil!
